Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media animasi yang layak dan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media animasi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Lakarsantri II/473 Surabaya. Model dan prosedur yang digunakan yaitu model R&D Borg & Gall. Dalam pelaksanaan pengembangan dilakukan beberapa tahapan : validasi media (ahli materi dan ahli media), uji coba (uji coba awal, uji coba lapangan dan uji lapangan) dan melakukan eksperimen untuk mengetahui efektivitas media animasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang dianalaisis menggunakan rumus deskriptif persentase. Sedangkan data eksperimen dihitung menggunakan rumus uji-t. Hasil validasi ahli materi yaitu 90% dan ahli media yaitu 84,53%. Sedangkan hasil uji coba awal 80%, hasil uji coba lapangan 88,5% dan hasil uji lapangan 82,20% maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animasi yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan. Hasil uji-t posttest menunjukkan thitung = 2,0536 > ttabel = 1,99085 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animasi efektif dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran.

The purpose of this study are to investigate the effectiveness of animation media in increasing the results of five graders’ learning in Lakarsantri II/473 Surabaya elementary school.The model and procedures which is used are R&D Borg & Gall model. To develop the media, there are some stages: media validation (material experts and media experts), Trials (preliminary field testing, main field testing, and operational product testing), and doing experiment to know the effectiveness of animation media. The data was collected by using questionnaires which were analyzed by using percentage descriptive formula, while the data was counted by using T-test. The result of material expert validation was 90% and media expert validation was 84.53%. The result of preliminary field testing was 80%, the result of main field testing was 88.5%, and the result of operational product testing was 82.20% therefore the conclusion is the animation media which is developed by researcher is worthy to applying. The T-test result of post-test showed thitung = 2,0536 > ttabel = 1,99085 that there were differences of the learning results. So it can be concluded that the animation media is effectiveness to improving learning.
