Sintesis Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) untuk Adsorpsi Kloramfenikol dengan Metode Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) Sederhana

Synthesis of Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) for Chloramphenicol Adsorption by Simple Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) Method

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIP) adalah polimer sintetis yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengenali molekul targetnya secara spesifik. Pada penelitian ini MIP digunakan sebagai adsorben untuk penyerapan kloramfenikol dengan metode adsorpsi SPE sederhana. SPE sederhana adalah metode ekstraksi fasa padat yang diterapkan pada adsorpsi dengan membuat rancangan alat sederhana dari bahan yang mudah dan murah yang cara kerjanya dibuat mirip dengan alat SPE sesungguhnya. Proses sintesis dilakukan dengan metode polimerisasi presipitasi dengan perbandingan template, monomer, dan cross-linker sebesar 1:3:18 mmol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetaui karakteristik MIP yang diuji dengan instrument FTIR untuk mendeteksi gugus fungsi -NO₂ dan SEM untuk menunjukkan struktur permukaan dan melihat rongga dari MIP serta mengetahui besarnya kapasitas pada metode SPE sederhana yang diterapkan pada adsorpsi dengan MIP sebagai adsorben. Pengujan dilakukan dengan menggunakan prinsip reaksi diazotasi. Senyawa azo berwarna ungu dapat diidentifikasi pada panjang gelombang penyerapan maksimum 567 nm dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Alat SPE sederhana dibuat dengan menyusun alat yang mudah didapatkan dan terjangkau. Adsorpsi dilakukan pada variasi konsentrasi 10, 25, 50, 75, dan 100 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kapasitas adsorpsi paling besar 10,157 mg/g. Persen recovery yang didapatkan sebesar 85,22 % - 104,51 % menunjukkan bahwa metode yang digunakan cukup akurat. Nilai IF yang diperoleh pada semua konsentrasi bernilai lebih dari 1. Hasil analisa FTIR menunjukkan gugus NO₂  pada NIP tedapat pada bilangan gelombang 1536 cm^-1 dan puncak tersebut hilang pada MIP menunjukkan bahwa kloramfenikol berhasil terekstrak. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, metode SPE sederhana dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk metode adsorpsi dengan MIP sebagai adsorben.

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) are synthetic polymers that have the ability to specifically recognize their target molecules. In this study, MIP was used as adsorbent for chloramphenicol sorption by simple SPE adsorption method. Simple SPE is a solid phase extraction method applied to adsorption by designing a simple device that works similar to a real SPE device. The synthesis process was carried out using precipitation polymerization method with a template, monomer, and cross-linker ratio of 1:3:18 mmol. This study aims to know the characteristics of MIP analyzed with FTIR to detect the -NO2 functional group and SEM to show the surface structure and see cavity of MIP and determine the amount of capacity in a simple SPE method applied to adsorption. The test was conducted using the principle of diazotation reaction. The purple colored azo compound can be identified at a maximum absorption wavelength of 567 nm by spectrophotometry UV-Vis. A simple SPE tool was made by compiling tools that were easily available and affordable. Adsorption was conducted at concentrations of 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 ppm. The results showed the largest adsorption capacity is 10.157 mg/g. Percent recovery was obtained 85.22% - 104.51%, indicating that the method used was accurate.  The IF value obtained at all concentrations is more than 1. The results of FTIR analysis showed that the NO₂ group in NIP was found at 1536 cm^-1 and the peak disappeared in MIP indicating that chloramphenicol was successfully extracted. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the simple SPE method can be used as an alternative to the adsorption method with MIP as the adsorbent.
