Hubungan antara Parasocial Relationship dengan Subjective Well Being pada Penggemar K-Pop
The Relationship between Parasocial Relationship and Subjective Well Being among K-Pop Fans
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parasocial relationship dan subjective well being pada penggemar K Pop di usia emerging adulthood (18–29 tahun). Parasocial relationship merupakan hubungan satu arah yang dirasakan oleh penggemar terhadap idolanya, sedangkan subjective well being merupakan penilaian kognitif dan afektif individu terhadap kehidupannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik purposive sampling dan melibatkan 120 responden anggota grup KPOPERS JATIM Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner Parasocial Relationship Scale dan skala Subjective Well Being, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil uji Pearson menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara parasocial relationship dan subjective well being dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,477 dan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin kuat hubungan parasosial seseorang dengan idolanya, semakin tinggi kesejahteraan subjektif yang dirasakan.

This study aims to examine the relationship between parasocial relationship and subjective well-being among K-Pop fans in the emerging adulthood age range (18–29 years). A parasocial relationship refers to a one-sided emotional bond experienced by fans toward their idols, while subjective well being are individuals cognitive and affective evaluations of their lives. This research used a quantitative correlational method with purposive sampling, involving 120 respondents from the KPOPERS JATIM Surabaya community. Data were collected using the Parasocial Relationship Scale and Subjective Well Being Scale, both of which were tested for validity and reliability. Pearson correlation analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between parasocial relationship and subjective well-being, with a correlation coefficient of 0.477 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the stronger a fan’s parasocial relationship with their idol, the higher their subjective well-being.
