UKS merupakan sebuah pelayanan, pendidikan, dan pembinaan kesehatan yang dilaksanakan di sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan peserta didik, dan dapat mendukung semua proses belajar dengan optimal. Disamping itu, UKS juga mengarahkan peserta didik tentang kesehatan serta memfasilitasi perubahan perilaku peserta didik dan diharapkan dapat terlaksana dengan baik untuk meningkatkan kondisi kesehatan di lingkungan sekolah. Program UKS dijalankan melalui tiga program pokok yang biasa disebut Trias UKS yaitu pendidikan kesehatan, pelayanan kesehatan, dan pembinaan lingkungan sekolah sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pelaksanaan UKS antara SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta di Kota Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan komparatif yang membandingkan 2 kelompok. Populasi penelitian ini adalah SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta di Kota Surabaya dengan sampel berjumlah 10 sekolah, pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling berdasarkan wilayah. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket Health Promoting School Observation Sheets For High School. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah persentase dan chi square. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan UKS di SMA Negeri keseluruhan masuk dalam kategori baik dan SMA Swasta 4 sekolah masuk dalam kategori baik dan 1 sekolah masuk dalam kategori sedang. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan data dengan menggunakan chi square diperoleh nilai signifikasi lebih besar dari nilai alpha yaitu 0.292 > 0,05 sehingga diputuskan H0 diterima. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pelaksanaan Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) antara SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta di Kota Surabaya.
Health Promoting School (UKS) is a service, education, and health development carried out in schools to improve the quality of health of students, and can support all learning processes optimally. In addition, Health Promoting School also directs student about health and facilitates changes in student behavior and is expected to be implemented well to improve health conditions in the school environment. The Health Promoting School program is carried out through three main programs commonly called the Trias UKS namely health education, health services, and fostering a healthy school environment. This study aims to determine the comparison of the implementation of Health Promoting School between state and private high schools in Surabaya. The study uses a quantitative approach that compares two samples. The population of this study is the State High Schools and Private High Schools in the City of Surabaya, with a sample of 10 schools with sampling using cluster random sampling by region. The instrument in this study used the Health Promoting School Observation Sheets for High School questionnaire. Analysis of the data used is percentage and chi Square. Based on the results of calculation show that the implementation of the Health Promoting School in all State high schools in the best category and four Private High schools in the best category and one school in the medium category. While the results of data calculations using chi-square obtained significance value greater than the alpha value of 0.292> 0.05 so it was decided that H0 was accepted. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in the implementation of the Health Promoting School (UKS) between State High Schools and Private High Schools in the City of Surabaya.
