IMPLEMENTATION OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY K3 IN THE SUBJECT OF LATHE MACHINE PRACTICE AT SMKN 3 BOYOLANGU

Abstrak

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja K3 merupakan elemen esensial yang harus dikuasai oleh tenaga kerja maupun calon tenaga kerja Sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang berperan dalam mencetak sumber daya manusia siap kerja SMKN 3 Boyolangu memiliki kewajiban untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pelatihan terkait K3 kepada para peserta didiknya Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi K3 oleh siswa selama praktik mesin bubut sekaligus mengevaluasi hasil kerja mereka sebagai indikator kemampuan dalam menerapkan prosedur operasional mesin dan memahami tugas yang dilakukan Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan evaluasi hasil praktik yang tercatat dalam lembar kerja job sheetAnalisis data dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan skala Likert untuk mengukur tingkat kepatuhan terhadap prosedur K3 serta rubrik penilaian untuk menilai kualitas hasil praktik siswa Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan K3 oleh siswa masih belum sepenuhnya optimal Beberapa siswa tidak mematuhi penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri APD seperti kacamata helm dan sepatu safety Selain itu terdapat siswa yang tetap mengenakan aksesori seperti jam tangan dan gelang saat melakukan praktik Meskipun demikian hasil praktik siswa menunjukkan kinerja yang baik dengan nilai kelas rata rata sebesar 90 5 Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kualitas hasil kerja siswa tetap memuaskan meskipun terdapat kekurangan dalam kepatuhan terhadap prosedur K3

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health OSH is an essential element that must be mastered by workers and prospective workers As an educational institution responsible for producing job ready human resources SMKN 3 Boyolangu has an obligation to provide understanding and training related to OSH to its students This study aims to analyze the implementation of OSH by students during lathe machine practice and to evaluate their work outcomes as indicators of their ability to apply machine operating procedures and understand the tasks performed This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach Data were collected through observations and evaluations of students practice results recorded in job sheets Data analysis was conducted using a Likert scale to measure compliance with OSH procedures and a scoring rubric to assess the quality of students practical results The findings indicate that the implementation of OSH by students has not been fully optimal Some students failed to comply with the use of Personal Protective Equipment PPE such as safety glasses helmets and safety shoes Additionally some students were found wearing accessories such as watches and bracelets during practice Nevertheless the students practice outcomes showed good performance with an average class score of 90 5 This suggests that the quality of students work remains satisfactory despite deficiencies in compliance with OSH procedures
