ANALISIS PERBEDAAN KARAKTERISTIK SOSIAL EKONOMI PEDAGANG KAKI LIMA DI PASAR LARANGAN, PASAR PORONG, DAN PASAR KRIAN KABUPATEN SIDOARJO

Data dari Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Sidoarjo diketahui bahwa pedagang kaki lima di Pasar Larangan, Pasar Porong, dan Pasar Krian memiliki komposisi pedagang terbanyak dibandingkan dengan pasar-pasar yang lainnya. Pedagang kaki lima sebagai bagian dari usaha sektor informal memiliki potensi untuk menciptakan dan memperluas lapangan kerja terutama bagi tenaga kerja yang kurang memiliki kemampuan dan keahlian yang memadai. Sektor informal pedagang kaki lima merupakan realita perekonomian kota yang mempunyai peran penting. Keberadaan pedagang kaki lima di perkotaan sering menimbulkan permasalahan, baik sebagai penyebab kekumuhan, kemacetan lalu lintas. Upaya penataan pedagang kaki lima perlu dilakukan untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dan sekaligus meningkatkan kontribusi positifnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakteristik sosial, karakteristik ekonomi, dan karakteristik sosial ekonomi pedagang kaki lima di pasar Larangan, pasar Porong, dan pasar Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo
Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pedagang kaki lima yang ada di Pasar Larangan, Pasar Porong, dan Pasar Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo yaitu berjumlah 1336 pedagang kaki lima. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah Accidental Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dengan panduan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data dengan Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas dan Uji One-Way ANOVA.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan karakteristik sosial, karakteristik ekonomi dan karakteristik sosial ekonomi di pasar Larangan, pasar Porong, dan Pasar Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Setiap aspek-aspek sosial ekonomi pedagang kaki lima, perbedaan mean juga ditemukan diantara ketiga lokasi penelitian yang di pasar Larangan, pasar Porong, dan pasar Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Hasil analisa data diperoleh bahwa kelompok yang memiliki rata-rata tingkat karakteristik sosial ekonomi yang paling tinggi adalah para pedagang kaki lima di pasar Krian, kemudian diikuti oleh para pedagang kaki lima di pasar Porong, dan para pedagang kaki lima di pasar Larangan memiliki tingkat karakteristik sosial ekonomi yang paling rendah dari yang lainnya.

Based on the data from Disperindag (Department of Industry and Trade) of Sidoarjo, it is known that the composition of street vendors in Larangan Traditional Market, Porong Market, and Krian Market have highest composition of street vendors when it compared to other markets. Street vendors as part of informal sector businesses have the potential to create and expand employment opportunities, especially for workers who lack adequate capability and expertise. However, it cannot be denied that the informal sector of street vendors is a reality of the city's economy that has an important role to play. However, the existence of street vendors in urban areas often causes problems, both as causes of slums, traffic jams. Efforts in structuring street vendors need to be done to reduce the negative impacts and at the same time increase their positive contribution.
This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were all street vendors in the Larangan Market, Porong Market, and Krian Market in Sidoarjo Regency, amounting to 1336 street vendors. The sampling technique in this study is Accidental Sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews with questionnaire guidelines. Data analysis techniques with the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and One-Way ANOVA Test.
Based on the results of this study indicate that there are differences in social characteristics, economic characteristics and socioeconomic characteristics in the Larangan market, Porong market, and the Krian Market in Sidoarjo Regency. The results of the study generally showed that the street vendors in the Larangan market, the Porong market, and the Krian market in Sidoarjo Regency were dominated by people who had an average level of education that only graduated or graduated from elementary and junior high schools, dominated by low-income communities per month and dominated by people who have a source of funds for fixed capital or working capital mostly comes from their own savings. Based on the results of these objectives, it is expected that the Market Service will further increase its awareness of the street vendor relocation program in the implementation of the next good program to the public, because the community should also be fully aware of what the program will be carried out by the Market Service and the Market Office should also conduct more frequent job training or skills courses for street vendors because it is well known that the street vendors have low levels of education and low work skills. If necessary, include the community in hearings between the government and the street vendors.
