Kinerja Guru Pendidikan Jasmani SMP di Kota Pekanbaru: Asesmen Terhadap Kebugaran Jasmani Siswa
Performance of Middle School Physical Education Teachers in Pekanbaru City: An Assessment of Students' Physical Fitness
Guru berkualitas menjadi faktor penting dalam pembelajaran di sekolah termasuk pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan. Tercapainya pendidikan yang berkualitas tentunya tidak lepas dari pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani dilihat dari kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, kepribadian dan sosial serta dampaknya terhadap kebugaran jasmani siswa SMP di Kota Pekanbaru, Riau. Penelitian ini berjenis survei yang menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen untuk melihat kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani. Sedangkan untuk mengukur kebugaran jasmani siswa menggunakan bleep test. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 33 orang guru pendidikan jasmani dan 316 siswa kelas VIII pada 10 SMP di Kota Pekanbaru yang diambil secara random sampling. Penilaian kompetensi pedagogik guru diberikan oleh kepala sekolah, kompetensi profesional oleh wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, dan kompetensi kepribadian dan sosial oleh wakil kepala sekolah bidang humas. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani SMP di Kota Pekanbaru, yang diukur dengan empat kompetensi masuk kategori sangat baik. Kompetensi kepribadian memiliki nilai tertinggi, diikuti kompetensi sosial, profesional, dan pedagogik. Tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa sungguh rendah, baik pada kelompok putra maupun putri. Pada siswa putra, mereka yang masuk kategori baik ke atas 0% dan 80% masuk kategori kurang dan sangat kurang. Sementara itu, pada siswa putri, mereka yang masuk kategori baik ke atas 0% dan 95% masuk kategori kurang dan sangat kurang. Kompetensi guru pendidikan jasmani tidak berkorelasi dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diukur dengan tingkat kebugaran jasmani. Kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani yang tinggi tidak memberikan dampak pada kebugaran jasmani siswa. Berdasarkan temuan di atas, maka pembinaan kinerja guru perlu diarahkan pada perbaikan hasil pembelajaran siswa. Selain itu, perlu ada upaya sistematis untuk meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani siswa.

Quality teachers are an important factor in learning in schools, including physical education. The achievement of quality education cannot be separated from learning physical education in schools. This study aims to reveal the performance of physical education teachers in terms of pedagogic, professional, personality and social competence and their impact on the physical fitness of junior high school students in Pekanbaru, Riau. This research is a survey that uses a questionnaire as an instrument to assess the performance of physical education teachers. Meanwhile, to measure students' physical fitness, the bleep test was used. The subjects of this study were 33 physical education teachers and 316 students of class VIII at 10 junior high schools in Pekanbaru who were taken by random sampling. Assessment of teacher pedagogical competence is given by the school principal, professional competence by the vice principal for curriculum, and personality and social competence by the vice principal for public relations. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The results showed that the performance of junior high school physical education teachers in Pekanbaru, as measured by the four competencies, was in the very good category. Personality competence has the highest value, followed by social, professional and pedagogic competence. The level of physical fitness of the students was really low, both in the male and female groups. For male students, those who are in the good and above category are 0% and 80% are in the poor and very poor categories. Meanwhile, for female students, those who were in the good and above category were 0% and 95% were in the poor and very poor categories. The competence of physical education teachers does not correlate with student learning outcomes as measured by the level of physical fitness. The high performance of physical education teachers does not have an impact on students' physical fitness. Based on these findings, teacher performance development needs to be directed at improving student learning outcomes, not solely on administrative needs. In addition, there needs to be a systematic effort to improve students' physical fitness.
