GENETIC STRUCTURALISM IN NOVEL ANAK YANG TERTIDUR PANJANG DI AKHIR ZAMAN A. MUSTAFA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini menganalisis salah satu karya sastra yakni novel yang berjudul Anak Gembala yang Tertidur Panjang di Akhir Zaman karya A. Mustafa. Secara garis besar, novel tersebut berisi gambaran kelompok masyarakat serta berbagai permasalahan yang disajikan. Novel yang juga menjadi pemenang kedua dalam DKJ tahun 2018 tersebut akan dianalisis menggunakan salah satu teori sastra yakni Srukturalisme Genetik Lucien Goldmann. Goldmann percaya bahwa karya sastra ialah sebuah struktur. Namun struktur bukan merupakan hal statis, melainkan produk dari proses sejarah yang berlangsung terus menerus. Secara lebih jelas, Lucien Goldmann merumuskan beberapa konsep dasar untuk membangun teori yang dicetusnya tersebut. Terdapat fakta kemanusiaan, subjek kolektif, pandangan dunia, struktur karya sastra, serta dialektika pemahaman-penjelasan. Kelima konsep dasar tersebut ditemukan dalam novel yang kemudian dideskripsikan serta diuraikan secara jelas.

Abstract

This research analyzes one of the literary works, namely a novel entitled Children of the Shepherd Who Long asleep in the End Times by A. Mustafa. Broadly speaking, the novel contains a description of community groups and various problems presented. The novel which is also the second winner in the 2018 DKJ will be analyzed using one literary theory namely Genetic Structuralism Lucien Goldmann. Goldmann believes that literary works are a structure. But the structure is not a static thing, but a product of a continuous historical process. More clearly, Lucien Goldmann formulated some basic concepts to build the theory he invented. There are facts of humanity, collective subjects, worldviews, structure of literary works, and dialectics of understanding-explanation. The five basic concepts are found in related novels which are then described and clearly explained.
