Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning dengan media ular tangga terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V sekolah dasar pada materi peristiwa kebangsaan seputar Proklamasi Kemerdekaan RI. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Lakarsantri I-472 Surabaya pada tahun pelajaran 2019-2020.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu siswa kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel penelitian ini adalah model Project Based Learning dengan media ular tangga, aktivitas belajar, dan hasil belajar siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis yang digunakan meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji independent samples t-test.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai normalized gain aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 0,43 dan kelas kontrol adalah 0,20. Nilai normalized gain hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 0,63 dan kelas kontrol adalah 0,28. Hasil uji independent samples t-test aktivitas siswa menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung (3,168) lebih besar dari t-tabel (1,682) dengan df=42 dan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil uji independent samples t-test hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung (4,041) lebih besar dari t-tabel (1,682) dengan df=42 dan taraf signifikansi 0,05.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Project Based Learning dengan media ular tangga berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V sekolah dasar.

This study aim to determine the effect of Project Based Learning model combined with snake and ladder media in learning activities and learning outcomes social studies of fifth grade students of elementary school on subject matter national events surrounding the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. This study was conducted at Lakarsantri I-472 Surabaya Elementary School in the 2019-2020 school year.
This research is a quantitative approach. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. This study uses two classes namely VA class students as the experimental class and VB class students as the control class. The variables of this research are Project Based Learning with snake ladder game, learning activities, and learning outcomes of students. The research instruments used were learning activities observation sheet and learning outcomes test. Data analysis techniques used include normality test, homogeneity test, and independent samples t-test.
The results showed that the value of the normalized gain in students learning activities of the experimental class was 0,43 and the control class was 0,20. The normalized gain value in students learning outcomes in the experimental class was 0,63 and the control class was 0,28. The test result for independent samples of learning activities t-test show that t-count (3,168) is higher than t-table (1,682), with df=42 and a significance level of 0,05. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning media combined with snake and ladder game has an effect on learning activities and learning outcomes social studies of fifth grade elementary school students.
