This
study aims to develop Canva AI-based learning media to improve elementary
students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS. The research was motivated by
students' low critical thinking abilities and the lack of interactive media
that supports such skills. The study used the Research and Development
(R&D) method with the ADDIE model.
Validation
results showed that the media is highly valid (92% for content, 95.33% for
media). Practicality was confirmed by teacher (93.5%) and student (91%)
responses. Effectiveness was tested using pretest and posttest data, with an
N-Gain score of 0.72 (high category), and a t-test result with a significance
value < 0.001, indicating a significant improvement. About 53% of students
showed high improvement, and 47% moderate, with none showing low gains.
In
conclusion, Canva AI-based media is valid, practical, and effective in
improving critical thinking. Features like text-to-image, magic write, and
interactive quizzes enhance student engagement and support 21st-century
learning needs.
