Kesulitan dalam bidang pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional anak tunagrahita ringan yang mengakibatkan terbatas anak dalam menguasai kemampuan pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional membuat tas dari kain batik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan metode proyek dalam pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional anak tunagrahita ringan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian pre eksperimen dengan rancangan One Grup Pre-test Post-test design. Perlakuan dilaksanakan sebanyak 10 kali pertemuan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode proyek dapat berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional anak tunagrahita ringan. Penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pre-test 39,8 dan nilai rata-rata post-test dengan menggunakan metode proyek meningkat menjadi 75. Dengan hasil Zhitung = 2,52 lebih besar dari Ztabel = 1,64 dengan nilai kritis 5%, maka Ho ditolak Ha diterima, sehingga ada pengaruh penerapan metode proyek dalam pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional anak tunagrahita ringan.
The difficulty in the domain of learning vocational skill to mild mentally retardation children made them limited in mastering the learning ability of vocational skill i.e. making a bag from batik fabric. The purpose of this research was to observe the influence of the project method application in learning vocational skill to mild mentally retardation children.
This research used quantitative approach with pre experiment kind and one group Pre-test Post-test design. The treatment was implemented in 10 times meeting.
The research result indicated that the project method could influence toward learning vocational skill to mild mentally retardation children. The research indicated that the average value of pre-test was 39,8 and the average value of post-test, by using the project method, enhanced 75. The result of Z counted = 2,52 was greater than Z table = 1,64 with critic value 5% so Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. So, there was influence of project method application in learning vocational skill to mild mentally retardation children.
