Penerapan Kurikulum 2013 yang terbilang baru menjadikan guru dan para muridnya merasa kesusahan. Beberapa guru kurang paham dengan konsep pendekatan Scientific, keterampilan guru merancang RPP juga kurang memadai, banyak guru yang kurang menguasai penilaian autentik, dan terlalu banyak materi yang perlu dikuasai siswa menjadikan beban belajar siswa dan guru jadi terlalu berat. Salah satu efeknya adalah pada pembelajaran SBdP, terutama pada pembelajaran Tari Tradisional. Pada pembelajaran Tari Tradisional terdapat materi praktek dan teori tetapi hanya terbatas pada beberapa tarian saja, jadi murid-murid masih kurang memahami dan menghafal dari mana saja tarian tersebut berasal. Guru menyadari dengan kondisi seperti itu maka diperlukan media pendukung lain yang dapat menunjang pembelajaran untuk lebih mengenal Tari Tradisional di Indonesia. Salah satu caranya dengan menggunakan metode penelitian seperti penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) untuk membuat media permainan seperti Board game. Perancangan Board game ini mempunyai target audience yaitu murid dengan usia 11-13 tahun atau murid kelas V SD. Dari hasil konsep, proses dan visualisasi perancangan ini terbentuklah Board game yang berjudul “Yuk! Kita Menari”. Melalui Board game ini murid-murid diajak memahami berbagai macam Tari Tradisional yang ada di Indonesia. Diharapkan melalui Board game ini, penyampaian edukasi tidak membosankan dan mudah dipahami oleh murid.

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum which is relatively new makes teachers and students feel distressed. There are many teachers who are not ready mentally with this curriculum. Some teachers lack understanding of Scientific approach concept, teacher skills in designing lesson plans are also inadequate, many teachers lack mastery of authentic assessment, and too much material needs to be mastered by students make the learning burden of students and teachers too heavy. One effect is on SBdP learning, especially on learning Traditional Dance. In learning Traditional Dance, there are practical and theoretical material but only limited to a few dances, so students still lack understanding and memorize of where the dance originates. The teacher realizes that with such conditions, other supporting media are needed to support learning to get to know Traditional Dance in Indonesia. One way to do it by using research and development methods to create game media such as Board game. The design of this Board game has target students aged 11-13 years or 5th grade elementary school students. From the results of the concept, process and visualization of this design, this board game called “Yuk! Kita Menari”. Through this Board game students are invited to understand various kinds of Traditional Dance in Indonesia. It is hoped that through this board game, educational delivery is not boring and easy for students to understand.
