This
research aims to describe the validity and practicality of digital literacy
media based on Android applications to improve the reading skills of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD) students in inclusive schools. This research uses a Research and
Development (R&D) approach by adapting the 4D model from Thiagarajan 1974,
namely define, design, develop and disseminate. This research uses three
development stages, namely define, design and develop. The resulting product is
digital literacy media based on an Android application to improve the reading
skills of ADHD students. The data analysis technique uses a Likert scale which
has four assessment scores and is averaged for each question item. Validation
tests were carried out by material experts and media experts. From the
validation test data, material experts obtained a percentage score of 85% in
the good or appropriate category. Meanwhile, validation tests from media
experts obtained 100% in the very feasible category. This means that digital
literacy media based on Android applications for ADHD students is suitable for
use.
Practicality and feasibility test results from expert
practitioners (class teachers) obtained 89% in the very good category, while
the average practicality test results for 6 ADHD students after being given
digital literacy media based on Android applications and practicing it obtained
90%. Then, from the feasibility test by looking at the results of the overall
gain score from the pretest - posttest data which shows the result = 0.6 and is
in the medium category. This shows that digital literacy media based on Android
applications is practical and can improve the reading skills of ADHD students.
From the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that digital literacy
media based on Android applications to improve the reading skills of ADHD
students is practical and suitable for use in learning for ADHD students.
