PENGEMBANGAN GAMIFIKASI INTERAKTIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SAINS SISWA KELAS VI
DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE GAMIFICATION TO ENHANCE SCIENCE CONCEPT UNDERSTANDING OF SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS
ABSTRACT This research aims to establish Interactive Gamification as a valid, practical, and effective medium to enhance the understanding of science concepts among sixth grade students, particularly related to the topic of the effects of the Earth and Moon's movements. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE model. (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The analysis stage identifies learning needs, student characteristics, and the learning environment context. The design stage includes learning design, the gamification elements to be integrated, and interface design. The development stage covers platform selection, development of learning content, and expert validation. The implementation stage involves limited and full-scale trials of the interactive gamification “s.id/JaMiLan”. The evaluation stage assesses the effectiveness through pre-test and post-test of concept understanding. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, science concept understanding tests before and after the implementation of interactive gamification, observation sheets of the implementation of the teaching module, and student response questionnaires towards the developed learning media. The validation results show a 94% rating from media experts, 93.75% from subject matter experts, and 96.87% from learning experts. Interactive gamification is highly practical based on observations of the implementation of the teaching module and student responses, with a percentage of 87.85%. The interactive gamification is considered effective based on the increase in the average score from the pre-test of 51.53 to the post-test of 83.0, with an N-Gain test result of 0.66, which falls into the medium category. Based on these findings, this research concludes that the development of interactive gamification is a highly valid, highly practical, and effective medium for improving the understanding of science concepts.
