Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran flash card guna meningkatkan keterampilan menulis aksara Jawa siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Jemundo 2 Kecamatan Taman, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket validasi, serta tes keterampilan menulis aksara Jawa, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media flash card aksara Jawa yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Dari hasil validasi, ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 92% dan ahli materi 91%, termasuk kategori sangat valid. Aspek kepraktisan ditunjukkan oleh respon guru sebesar 93,75% dan respon siswa 87,7% (kategori sangat baik). Keefektifan media dibuktikan melalui uji Paired Sample t-Test dan uji nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test serta Mann-Whitney U Test yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar menulis aksara Jawa yang signifikan. dengan nilai N-Gain score rata-rata 0,82 (kategori tinggi). Respon guru dan siswa juga menunjukkan kategori sangat baik, serta diperkuat dengan hasil wawancara dengan guru dan observer yang menyatakan bahwa media flash card mudah digunakan, fleksibel, menarik, dan mampu meningkatkan motivasi serta keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.
Dengan hasil tersebut, media pembelajaran flash card aksara Jawa yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, efektif, dan praktis. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa media berbasis visual sederhana dapat dijadikan alternative inovatif dalam pembelajaran muatan lokal bahasa Jawa, sekaligus memperkuat literasi budaya lokal di sekolah dasar.

This study aims to develop flash card learning media to improve the Javanese script writing skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of SDN Jemundo 2, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, validation questionnaires, and Javanese script writing tests, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods.
The results show that the developed Javanese script flash card media meet the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. Validation results indicate that the media expert obtained an average score of 92% and the material expert 91%, both in the “very valid” category. Practicality was shown by teacher responses of 93.75% and student responses of 87.7% (very good category). The effectiveness of the media was proven through the Paired Sample t-Test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and Mann-Whitney U Test, which yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant improvement in students’ Javanese script writing skills, with an average N-Gain score of 0.82 (high category). Teacher and student responses were also in the “very good” category, further supported by interviews with teachers and observers stating that the flash card media are easy to use, flexible, engaging, and able to enhance students’ motivation and participation in the learning process.
These findings confirm that the developed Javanese script flash card learning media meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research implies that simple visual-based media can serve as an innovative alternative in local content learning of the Javanese language while strengthening local cultural literacy in elementary schools.
