PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA POP-UP BOOK DENGAN MODEL ADDIE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS KELAS VIII DI UPT SMPN 9 GRESIK
DEVELOPMENT OF POP_UP BOOK MEDIA USING THE ADDIE MODEL TO IMPROVE CLASS VIII Social Studies Learning Outcomes at UPT SMPN 9 GRESIK
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran yang membantu Guru IPS di UPT SMPN 9 Gresik dalam proses pembelajaran IPS serta rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik khususnya kelas VIII B dalam pembelajaran IPS. Oleh karena itu, agar materi IPS bisa menarik serta tidak menjadikan bosan, peneliti menginginkan untuk mengembangkan media visual berbentuk pop_up book terutama pada materi “Tumbuh dan Berkembangnya Semangat Kebangsaan”, agar pembelajaran berjalan secara maksimal.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu ;1) Mengkaji kelayakan produk berupa media pop-up book pada materi Tumbuh dan Berkembangnya Semangat Kebangsaan kelas VIII di UPT SMPN 9 Gresik, 2) Mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap produk berupa media pop-up book dalam materi Tumbuh dan Berkembangnya Semangat Kebangsaan di kelas VIII UPT SMPN 9 Gresik, 3) Menganalisis keefektifan media Pop-up Book untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS peserta didik kelas VIII UPT SMPN 9 Gresik
Jenis penelitian ini yakni penelitian dan pengembangan yang menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze,Design,Development,Implementation,Evaluation). Jenis data dalam penelitian ini yakni data deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data hasil wawancara analisis kebutuhan serta hasil komentar dan validasi dosen ahli materi dan ahli media merupakan data kualitatif penelitian ini. hasil angket validasi media pembelajaran pop-up book, angket respon siswa, dan soal preetest posttest digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kuantitatif.

The background of this research is the lack of learning media that helps IPS teachers at UPT SMPN 9 Gresik in the social studies learning process and the low learning outcomes of students, especially class VIII B in social studies learning. Therefore, so that social studies material can be interesting and not boring, the researcher wants to develop visual media in the form of pop_up books, especially on the material "Growing and Developing National Spirit", so that learning runs optimally. The aims of this research are; 1) Assess the feasibility of products in the form of pop-up book media on the material Growing and Developing National Spirit in class VIII at UPT SMPN 9 Gresik, 2) Knowing student responses to products in the form of pop-up book media in the material Growing and Developing National Spirit in class VIII UPT SMPN 9 Gresik, 3) Analyze the effectiveness of Pop-up Book media to improve social studies learning outcomes for Class VIII UPT SMPN 9 Gresik.
This type of research is research and development that uses the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development Implementation, Evaluation. The types of data in this study are qualitative and quantitative descriptive data. Data from needs analysis interviews and results of comments from lecturer validation materials and media experts, are the qualitative data of this research. The results of the validation survey of Pop-up Book Learning media, student response questionnaires and pretest posttest questions are used to collect quantitative data.
The results showed that: 1) The feasibility of the pop_up book learning media to improve student learning outcomes in the material "Growing and Developing the National Spirit" was validated by the Social Sciences Lecturer, the material expert achieved a score with a feasibility percentage of 97.5%, media experts also achieved a score with a percentage feasibility of 97.5%, included in the category suitable for use. 2) The results of student responses obtained a percentage value of 95%, this was included in the "very good" category. Therefore, the results of students' responses to the pop_up book media showed a positive value. 3) the effectiveness of pop_up book media on improving student learning outcomes can be seen through the results of the pretest and posttest questions. The pretest and posttest results show that the paired sample t-test scores get a significance value of 0.000 > 0.05. This indicates that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after learning to use the pop_up book.
