Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar etnoliterasi berbasis kearifan lokal Siraman Sedudo yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya capaian literasi siswa SDN 2 Werungotok yang mengalami penurunan sebesar 12,7% pada tahun 2024, serta minimnya bahan ajar yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model 4-D (Four-D Model) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel, dan Semmel, meliputi tahap define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa kelas V SDN 2 Werungotok, Kabupaten Nganjuk. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar validasi ahli bahan ajar dan materi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket respon siswa dan guru, serta tes hasil belajar (pretest dan posttest). Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas, serta uji N-Gain dan paired sample t-test denganbantuan SPSS.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Bahan ajar etnoliterasi Siraman Sedudo dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan penilaian ahli bahan ajar dengan persentase kelayakan isi (92,5%), kelayakan bahasa (92,8%), kelayakan kegrafikan (90%), dan kelayakan desain isi (87,5%), serta penilaian ahli materi dengan persentase materi (97,2%), penggunaan bahasa (87,5%), dan penyajian (90%); (2) Bahan ajar dinyatakan sangat praktis dengan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 96% kategori baik berdasarkan observasi guru, dan respon siswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dengan rata-rata persentase di atas 93% pada seluruh aspek yang diukur; (3) Bahan ajar terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa, ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari pretest (67,05) ke posttest (90,65), nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,77 (kategori tinggi), dan hasil uji paired sample t-test yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p < 0,001). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar etnoliterasi Siraman Sedudo melalui strategi penyampaian pesanlayak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas V. Integrasi kearifan lokal tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi, tetapi juga menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap budaya lokal, memperkuat identitas budaya, serta menginternalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan bermakna.

This study aims to produce ethnoliteracy teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Siraman Sedudo that are valid, practical, and effective in improving the literacy skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The background of this study is based on the low literacy achievement of students at SDN 2 Werungotok, which decreased by 12.7% in 2024, as well as the lack of teaching materials that integrate local wisdom into Indonesian language learning. This research is a research and development study using the 4-D Model developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were 20 fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Werungotok, Nganjuk Regency. The data collection instruments included expert validation sheets for teaching materials, observation sheets for learning implementation, student and teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test). Data analysis used validity, practicality, and effectiveness analysis techniques, as well as N-Gain and paired sample t-tests with thehelp of SPSS.
The results of the study show that: (1) The Siraman Sedudo ethnoliteracy teaching materials are declared to be highly valid based on the assessment of teaching material experts with a percentage of content suitability (92.5%), language suitability (92.8%), graphic suitability (90%), and content design suitability (87.5%), as well as the assessment of subject matter experts with a percentage of subject matter (97.2%), language use (87.5%), and presentation (90%); (2) The teaching materials were declared to be very practical with 96% of the learning activities being categorized as good based on teacher observations, and student responses showed high enthusiasm with an average percentage above 93% in all spects measured; (3) The teaching materials were proven to be effective in improving students' literacy skills, as shown by an increase in the average score from the pretest (67.05) to the posttest (90.65), an N-Gain score of 0.77 (high category), and the results of the paired sample t-test showing a significant difference (p < 0.001). This study concludes that the Siraman Sedudo ethnoliteracy teaching materials, through their appropriate, practical, and effective message delivery strategies, are suitable for use in fifth-grade Indonesian language learning. The integration of local wisdom not only improves students' literacy skills in writing explanatory texts but also fosters a love for local culture, strengthens cultural identity, and internalizes character values through contextual and meaningfullearning.
