Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh media soft book terhadap perkembangan kognitif yang meliputi pengenalan warna, konsep bilangan dan bentuk-bentuk geometri serta perkembangan sosial yang meliputi kerjasama, tanggung jawab dalam melaksanakan tugas.

Penelitian ini termasuk dalam pendekatan kuantitatif yaitu quasi experimental dengan menggunakan non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini 67 anak dari dua RA yang sudah dirandom di Kecamatan Gampengrejo Kabupaten Kediri. Kelompok A1 merupakan kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan menggunakan media soft book. Sedangkan kelompok A2 kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan perlakuan tetapi pembelajaran biasa sesuai dengan kegiatan di sekolah. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis statistik menggunakan non parametric sehingga menggunakan Sign Test dan Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat: (1) pengaruh media soft book terhadap perkembangan kognnitif anak kelompok A (Z -5.196^b   ; p<0,05) dan (2) pengaruh media soft book terhadap perkembangan sossial anak kelompok A (Z -5.187^b, ; p<0,05)

Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa, terdapat pengaruh media sof book terhdaap perkembengan kognitif dan sosial anak kelompok A Roushlatul Athfal Kecamatan Gampengrejo Kabupaten Kediri. Selain itu, media soft book terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif dan sosial anak kelompok A.

This study aims to determine the effect of soft book media on cognitive development which includes color recognition, number concepts and geometric forms and social developments which include cooperation, responsibility in carrying out tasks.

This research included in the quantitative approach, namely quasi experimental using non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study 67 children from two RA who were randomized in Gampengrejo District, Kediri Regency. Group A1 is an experimental group given treatment using soft book media. While the control group A2 group was not treated but normal learning was in accordance with the activities in the school. Methods of collecting data using observation sheets and documentation. Statistical analysis uses non parametric so that it uses the Sign Test and the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test. The results showed that there were: (1) the effect of soft book media on cognitive development in children in group A (Z -5,196b; p <0.05) and (2) the effect of soft book media on the development of socio-group children A (Z -5,187b , p <0.05).

Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that, there is the influence of the sof book media on the development of cognitive and social children of group A Roushlatul Athfal, District of Gampengrejo, Kediri Regency. In addition, the soft book media proved effective for improving cognitive and social development of children in group A.
