Siswa tunarungu mengalami hambatan di bidang matematika khususnya dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita bangun datar. Hal ini disebabkan siswa tunarungu mengalami hambatan memahami bacaan dan memperoleh informasi verbal maupun tulisan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan pengaruh model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project dalam pemecahan masalah soal cerita bangun datar matematika dalam kehidupan sehari – hari.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis pre eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest – Posttest Design. Hasil nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 36,3, diberikan perlakuan sebanyak 6 kali dan diperoleh hasil yang signifikan CE memiliki nilai tertinggi, siswa AT dengan keberhasilan terendah ditunjukkan dengan hasil pre tes 50 dan pos tes 70 mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 20, dengan nilai rata – rata pos tes 81,3. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita bangun datar matematika pada siswa tunarungu. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita bangun datar matematika pada siswa tunarungu (Z hitung (2,52) Z tabel (1,6) pada taraf signifikan 5%)

Hearing impairment students had hindrance in mathematics area especially in troubleshooting ability of story exercise of two-dimensional figure. This was happened because the hearing impairment students got hindrance in understanding reading and in getting either verbal or written information. This research purpose was to prove the influence of learning model of Missouri Mathematics Project in troubleshooting of story exercise of mathematics two-dimensional figure in daily life.
This research used quantitative approach with pre experimental kind and one group pretest – posttest design. The average value result of pre-test was 36,3, it was given 6 times treatment and it was obtained significant result i.e. student CE got the highest value, and student AT got the lowest result, it was showed by the pre-test result, 50 and the post-test result, 70 so it enhanced 20 with the average value of post test, 81,3. This research result indicated that there was influence of learning model of Missouri Mathematics Project toward troubleshooting ability of story exercise of mathematics two-dimensional figure to hearing impairment students. It could be concluded that there was significant influence toward troubleshooting ability of story exercise of mathematics two-dimensional figure to hearing impairment students (Z count (2.52) Z table (1.6) at a significant level of 5%)
