THE MANAGEMENT OF THE BUSINESS DAY PROGRAM AS AN EFFORT TO FOSTER STUDENTS CHARACTER AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT AT SD PLUS DARUL ULUM JOMBANG
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen program Business Day sebagai upaya menumbuhkan karakter dan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa di SD Plus Darul Ulum Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan program dilakukan melalui kolaborasi antarguru dengan kepala sekolah dan melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Pelaksanaan program Business Day mengadopsi pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, di mana siswa berperan sebagai pelaku usaha kecil yang merancang, memproduksi, dan menjual produk secara langsung. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dan pembimbing dalam seluruh proses kegiatan. Evaluasi program dilakukan secara kualitatif untuk menilai perkembangan karakter dan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa. Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan program meliputi dukungan penuh dari guru dan kepala sekolah, serta antusiasme tinggi dari siswa. Sementara itu, hambatan yang ditemukan adalah kurangnya kepercayaan diri sebagian siswa dalam menjual produk serta keterbatasan sarana dan waktu pelaksanaan. Secara keseluruhan, program Business Day terbukti efektif sebagai media pendidikan karakter dan kewirausahaan di tingkat sekolah dasar.

This study aims to describe the management of the Business Day program as an effort to foster character and entrepreneurial spirit among students at SD Plus Darul Ulum Jombang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The research subjects include the principal, teachers, students, and parents. The results show that the program planning was carried out through collaboration between teachers and the principal, with active involvement of students. The implementation of the Business Day program adopted a project-based learning approach, where students acted as small entrepreneurs by designing, producing, and directly selling products. Teachers served as facilitators and mentors throughout the process. Program evaluation was conducted qualitatively to assess the development of students character and entrepreneurial spirit. Supporting factors of the program included strong support from teachers and the principal, as well as high enthusiasm from students. However, several obstacles were found, such as students' lack of self-confidence in selling products and limitations in facilities and time. Overall, the Business Day program has proven to be an effective medium for character and entrepreneurship education at the elementary school level.
