Kandungan Logam Berat Timbal (Pb) pada Padina australis di Pantai Sendang Biru Malang
Aktivitas kapal motor yang tinggi di pantai Sendang Biru menjadi faktor utama masuknya logam Timbal (Pb) di perairan dan memicu pencemaran logam Timbal (Pb). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kadar logam berat timbal (Pb), kadar klorofil, kadar protein serta menganalisis hubungan kadar logam berat timbal terhadap kadar protein pada rumput laut Padina australis. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Pantai Sendang Biru Malang pada 3 stasiun dengan jarak antar stasiun ±1 km menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis kadar logam Pb menggunakan AAS, kadar protein dianalisis menggunakan metode Kjeldahl, kadar klorofil yang dianalisis menggunakan spektrofotometer. Data dianalisis statistik korelasi Pearson untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kadar logam Pb dengan kadar protein Padina australis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar logam berat timbal (Pb) di perairan dan rumput laut Padina australis berpengaruh terhadap kadar klorofil dan kadar protein rumput laut Padina australis. Hasil analisis kadar logam Pb pada rumput laut Padina australis yaitu 0,009±0,002-0,015±0,001 mg/kg dan hasil tersebut masih di bawah batas baku mutu KMNLH No.51 Tahun 2004. Kadar klorofil total berkisar antara 19,958±2,480-20,024±2,631 mg/L serta kadar protein berkisar antara 1,61-2,11%. Korelasi antara kadar logam berat (Pb) dan kadar protein menunjukkan korelasi negatif yaitu semakin tinggi kadar logam yang terakumulasi pada rumput laut Padina australis maka semakin rendah kadar protein.
The high activity of motorboats on the Sendang Biru beach is a major factor in the entry of lead metal (Pb) into the waters and triggers lead metal pollution (Pb). The purpose of this study was to determine the content of heavy metal lead (Pb), chlorophyll content, protein content and to analyze the relationship between heavy metal lead content and protein content in Padina australis seaweed. Sampling was carried out at Sendang Biru Beach Malang at 3 stations with a distance between stations of ±1 km using a purposive sampling method. Pb analysis used AAS, protein content was analyzed using the Kjeldahl method, and chlorophyll content was analyzed using a spectrophotometer. Data were analyzed statistically by Pearson correlation to analyze the relationship between Pb metal content and protein content of Padina australis. The results showed that the levels of heavy metal lead (Pb) in the waters and seaweed Padina australis affected the chlorophyll content and protein content of Padina australis seaweed. The results of the analysis of Pb metal content in Padina australis seaweed were 0.009±0.002-0.015±0.001 mg /kg and these results were still below the KMNLH No.51 of 2004 quality standard. Total chlorophyll levels ranged from 19,958±2,480-20,024±2,631 mg/L and protein content ranged from 1.61-2.11%. The correlation between heavy metal content (Pb) and protein content showed a negative correlation, namely the higher the metal content accumulated in Padina australis seaweed, the lower the protein content.
