Pendidikan karakter saat ini merupakan hal terpenting dalam pendidikan di indonesia. Pendidikan karakter dapat dilakukan dalam berbagai kegiatan diantaranya kegiatan experiential learning dalam bentuk outbound. Oleh karenanya, penulis tertarik meneliti Outbound sebagai salah satu bentuk Experential Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran experiential learning dalam peningkatan pendidikan berkarakter bagi PJOK. Subjek penelitian ini adalah PJOK, yang dimaksud adalah pendidikan berpetualang yang merupakan pengembangan dari kurikulum PJOK. Penulis menjadikan peserta Outbound Sherpa Camp sebagai objek penelitian, sumber data yang diangap memenuhi karakteristik penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, dan penyelengara experiential learning (outbound). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun olah dan analisa data dimulai dari reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Experiential learning dengan outbound memiliki peran meningkatkan pendidikan berkarakter bagi PJOK. (2) Kegiatan experiential learning dengan Outbound sebagai sarana mengembangkan karakter anak. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya dampak positif yang ditimbulkan berupa karakter bertanggung jawab yang paling dominan setelah kegiatan experiential learning dengan outbound.(3) Sumber daya yang mendukung dan menghambat experiential learning dalam peningkatan pendidikan berkarakter bagi PJOK sangat beragam. Namun semua itu mampu diatasi karena team penyelenggara experiential learning telah membuat perencanaan yang sangat matang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa experiential learning berperan meningkatkan pendidikan berkarakter bagi PJOK.

Character education is currently the most important thing in education in Indonesia. Character education can be done in various activities including outbound as experiential learning activities. Therefore, the authors are interested in researching Outbound as a form of Experimental Learning. This study aims to determine the role of experiential learning in improving character education for PJOK. The subject of this research is PJOK, which means adventurous education which is the development of the PJOK curriculum. The author makes Participants of Sherpa Camp Outbound as the object of research, data sources that are considered to meet the characteristics of the study, they are principals, teachers, and organizers of the learning (outbound). This research is a Qualitative Desciriptive study with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The process and data analysis starts with data reduction, data display and conclusion or verification. The results of this study are (1) Experiential learning with outbound has a role to improve character education for PJOK. (2) Outbound experiential learning activities as a means of developing children's character. This is evidenced by the positive impact caused by the most dominant responsible character after experiential learning with outbound activities (3) Resources that support and inhibit experiential learning in improving character education for PJOK are very diverse. But all of that was able to be overcome because the team managing the experiential learning had made a very mature plan. Thus it can be concluded that experiential learning has a role in improving character education for PJOK.
