THE INFLUENCE OF PEER TUTORING LEARNING METHODS ON THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS VIII BASKETBALL DRIBBLE AT SMP NEGERI 2 PAMEKASAN

In the process of teaching Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) in schools, the teacher's role remains dominant while students tend to play a less active role. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a learning model that positions students as learning subjects so that they play an active role in every learning process. One of the effective learning models in improving student achievement is the learning approach with the peer tutor method. In this study, the focus was to understand whether the peer tutoring method had an effect and how much influence it had on the learning outcomes of basketball dribble skills in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pamekasan.
This study adopts a quantitative approach using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design in its research design. The research sample consisted of 33 students, with 17 male students and 16 female students.
Research shows that the application of the peer tutoring method has a positive impact on the learning outcomes of basketball dribble skills in class VIII D students at SMP Negeri 2 Pamekasan. These findings can be observed from the results of the t test analysis which shows a significant difference. In addition, there was an increase in skills of 69.83% and an increase in knowledge of 12.81%.
