Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya atau yang biasa dikenal dengan sebutan PSM ITS merupakan salah satu paduan suara yang telah mendapatkan prestasi internasional. Setiap tahun PSM ITS menyelenggarakan konser tahunan. Tahun ini PSM ITS menyelenggarakan konser dengan nama Frostiana. Salah satu lagu yang akan dibawakan adalah Ecco Mormorar L’Onde. Peneliti memilih lagu Ecco Mormorar L’Onde karena lagu ini pertama kali dipelajari oleh PSM ITS memiliki kesulitan tersendiri dibanding lagu lainnya yaitu artikulasi, interpretasi dan polifoni. Selain itu lagu Ecco Mormorar L’Onde juga digunakan sebagai lagu pembuka konser Frostiana.

             Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian yaitu metode latihan yang diterapkan oleh PSM ITS, dan subjek penelitian  yaitu anggota PSM ITS. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara dengan pelatih dan anggota, serta dokumen dari PSM ITS.

            Penggarapan lagu ini dilakukan tiga hari. Latihan untuk konser Frostiana menggunakan tiga metode latihan yaitu metode latihan bersama teman, metode imitasi dan metode drill. Adapun kendala yang dialami oleh PSM ITS adalah kelengkapan anggota pada saat latihan, disiplin waktu dan keterbatasan waktu unuk latihan.

Student Choir of the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology Surabaya or commonly known as PSM ITS is one of the choirs that has gained international achievements. Every year PSM ITS holds an annual concert. This year, PSM ITS held a concert called Frostiana. One of the songs that will be performed is Ecco Mormorar L’Onde. Researchers chose the song Ecco Mormorar L’Onde because this song was first studied by PSM ITS has its own difficulties compared to other songs namely articulation, interpretation and polyphony. Besides the song Ecco Mormorar L’Onde was also used as the opening song for the Frostiana concert.

This research is included in the type of descriptive qualitative research. The object of the research is the training method applied by ITS Choir, and the research subjects are ITM Choir members. Data sources in this study were the results of interviews with trainers and members, as well as documents from PSM ITS.

The cultivation of this song is carried out for three days. The rehearsal for the Frostiana concert uses three training methods namely the practice method with friends, the imitation method and the drill method. The obstacles experienced by ITS Choir are the completeness of the members during training, time discipline and time limitations for training.
