The Character “Peacekimi” in Roblox Game as an Idea for Creating Two-Dimensional Ceramic Works in Naivisme Style
Roblox merupakan platform game yang menyediakan pengalaman bermain virtual dengan berbagai macam genre game, serta memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengembangkan kreativitas didalamnya. Berawal dari kegemaran bermain game Roblox menjadi titik awal menciptakan karakter avatar bernama Peacekimi. Setiap kali bermain Roblox perupa dapat mengenang setiap keping memori masa kecil sehingga tertarik memvisulkan Peacekimi pada karya keramik dua dimensi gaya naivisme, Peacekimi memiliki visual anak perempuan berambut pendek berwarna blonde dengan mahkota peri dikepalanya, bertubuh pendek sedikit berisi. Peacekimi memiliki visual yang menarik sekaligus sangat relevan untuk merefleksikan memori masa kecil yang di angkat.
Metode yang digunakan pada penciptaan ini adalah metode dari Husen Hendriyana (Practiced-led Research) yang dilakukan melalui empat tahapan yaitu Pra-Perancangan (eksplorasi sumber ide, konsep, dan landasan penciptaan), tahap Perancangan (membuat rancangan desain karya), tahap Perwujudan (Visualisasi karya), dan tahap Penyajian (Pemaknaan karya). Telah diciptakan enam karya keramik dengan gaya Naivisme ini berjudul 1) Lihat kebunku, 2) Peacekimi dan dunia aquarium, 3) Memori skuter, 4) Pergi ke bulan, 5) Minggu pagi, dan 6) Mandi sore.
Roblox is a game platform that offers virtual gameplay experiences through various game genres while allowing users to express and develop their creativity. The inspiration for this creation began with the artist's fondness for playing Roblox, which eventually led to the creation of an avatar character named Peacekimi. Each time the artist engaged with Roblox, it evoked childhood memories, which became the foundation for visualizing Peacekimi in a two-dimensional ceramic work using the Naivism style. Peacekimi is portrayed as a young girl with short blonde hair, a leaf fairy crown on her head, a short and slightly chubby body—visual traits that are appealing and closely represent the theme of childhood memory. The method used in this creation is based on Husen Hendriyana’s practice-led research, which consists of four stages: Pre-Design (exploration of ideas, concepts, and theoretical foundation), Design (developing design drafts), Creation (visualization of the work), and Presentation (interpretation and meaning of the artwork). The artist produced six ceramic works in the Naivism style, each reflecting different fragments of childhood memory. The titles of the works are: (1) Lihat Kebunku, (2) Peacekimi dan Dunia Aquarium, (3) Memori Skuter, (4) Pergi ke Bulan, (5) Minggu Pagi, and (6) Mandi Sore.
