Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan menggunakan AUM ditemukan masalah pada siswa kelas XI dalam bidang karir sebesar 55% di salah satu SMA swasta di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, terutama dalam membuat rencana di masa depan. Peningkatan keterampilan membuat perencanaan karir diharapkan terjadi melalui penerapan bimbingan klasikal berbasis masalah. Model bimbingan ini diadopsi dari model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 2 SMA Ulul Albab Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan model penelitian eksperimen dan desain penelitian berupa Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kenaikan skor posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis melalui two-independent-sample test-mann-witney U. Hasil perhitungan ini menunjukkan asymp.sig < α, nilai asymp.sig (2-tailed) 0,00<0,05. Karenanya H0 ditolak, artinya pemberian perlakuan bimbingan klasikal berbasis masalah memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan perencanaan karir siswa. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwah bimbingan klasikal berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membuat perencanaan karir siswa. Dari hasil penelitian ini maka terdapat saran bagi pihak-pihak terkait yaitu untuk peneliti lain agar menyempurnakan penelitian ini dan bagi konselor sekolah membarengi layanan ini dengan bimbingan yang intensif secara individu.

Based on the result of the previous study by using a problem checklist, it was found that 55% of the eleventh graders in one of the private schools in Sidoarjo had an issue with their careers, especially in making the future plan. Through this problem-based of the classroom guidance, an improvement in making career planning was expected to happen. It was adopted from the problem-based learning model. The subjects of this study were the eleventh graders of social class 1 and 2 of Ulul Albab High School Sidoarjo. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental as the research model and Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design as the research design. The result showed that the experimental class’s posttest score improvement was higher than the control class. The data of this study were analyzed by using a two-independent-Mann-Whitney U test. Since the calculation result was Asymp.sig < α, the value of Asymp.sig (2-tailed) 0,00<0,05, the null hypothesis was rejected. In other words, the problem-based of the classroom guidance services influenced the students’ skills in planning their careers. Therefore, it can be concluded that the problem-based of classroom guidance improved the students’ career planning skills. Some suggestions were made for future researchers to have the better version of this study and for the school counselor to have this service done along with the individual intensive guidance.
