Character Education Through Dance Lessons at SMAN 8 Malang
Abstrak
Maraknya kekerasan terjadi di dunia pendidikan yang banyak dilakukan oleh peserta didik membuktikkan bahwa pendidikan karakter sangat penting. Pendidikan karakter dapat melalui pembelajaran salah satunya Seni Budaya. SMAN 8 Malang menerapkan pendidikan karakter pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya khususnya seni tari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Pendidikan Karakter pada pembelajaran seni tari; (2) Mendeskripsikan nilai karakter yang ada dalam proses pembelajaran seni tari; (3) Mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran nilai karakter melalui seni tari di SMAN 8 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi (pengamatan), interview (wawancara), dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis taksonomi.
Abstract
The rise of violence occurs in the world of education that many done by students proving that character education is very important. Character education can be through wrong learning only Cultural Arts. SMAN 8 Malang applies character education in the subject of Cultural Arts, especially dance. This research aims to (1) describe the implementation of character education in learning dance; (2) Describe the existing character values in the process of learning dance; (3) Describe the results learning character values through dance at SMAN 8 Malang. Technique data collection is done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis technique used is a taxonomic analysis.
The results showed that (1) Learning dance in SMAN8 Malang uses a specific approach, a model learning Problem Based Learning and group discussion methods, questions and answers and assignments (2) Character education contained in learning dance includes tolerance, honesty, self-confidence, work hard, unyielding, creative, cooperation, responsibility, and discipline. (3) To find out changes in attitudes in students, the teacher conducts an assessment with 3 aspects according to the curriculum i.e. aspects ofknowledge, skills, and attitudes.
