SIDOARJO
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan
academic engagement dan behavior engagement terhadap academic
performance siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Metode penelitian
yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Jenis
penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei. Populasi pada penelitian
ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Sidoarjo, Sampel
penelitian ini berjumlah 70 siswa kelas XI Kompetensi Keahlian
Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan
melalui angket yang diisi oleh siswa. Analisis data dalam
penelitian ini menggunakan regresi berganda dengan berbantuan
software SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa
academic engagement berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap
academic performance (p = 0,001), behavior engagement berpengaruh
positif dan signifikan terhadap academic performance (p = 0,028).
Serta academic engagement dan behavior engagement berpengaruh
signifikan terhadap academic engagement terhadap academic
performance (p = 0,000 < 0,05). Penelitian ini mengindikasikan
bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat keterlibatan akademik dan perilaku
siswa, semakin baik pula kinerja akademik yang dicapai. Implikasi
dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peran guru dalam upaya
peningkatan proses belajar mengajar (akademik) seperti academic engagement dan behavior engagement siswa siswi SMK perlu
diprioritaskan dalam kebijakan pendidikan untuk meningkatkan
academic performance dalam mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal.
This study aims to analyze the relationship between academic
engagement and behavioral engagement on the academic performance of
Vocational High School students. The research method used in this
research is quantitative. The type of research used is a survey. The sample
for this research consisted of 70 class XI students majoring in Electrical
Power Installation Engineering. This research uses student questionnaire
data collection teqniques. Data analysis used in this study used multiple
regression with SPSS version 25 software. The results of this research
show that academic engagement has a positive and significant effect on
academic performance (p = 0.001), behavior engagement has a positive
and significant effect on academic performance (p = 0.028). Together
(simultant) academic engagement and behavioral engagement have a
significant effect on academic engagement on academic performance (p =
0.000 <0.05). This research indicates that the higher the level of academic
engagement and student behavior, the better the academic performance
achieved. The implication of this research is that the importance of the role
of teachers in efforts to improve the teaching and learning process
(academic) such as academic engagement and behavioral engagement ofvocational school students needs to be prioritized in education policy to
improve academic performance in achieving optimal learning outcomes.
