Pengaruh Peran Keterlibatan Ayah terhadap Self Esteem pada Mahasiswa Perempuan Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X

The Influence of Father Involvement on Self Esteem among Female Students of the Faculty Psychology University X

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran keterlibatan ayah terhadap self esteem pada mahasiswa perempuan Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif kausal dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling dan melibatkan 163 mahasiswa perempuan S1 Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X yang memiliki ayah kandung masih hidup. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online menggunakan skala peran keterlibatan ayah dan Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale yang telah diuji daya beda item dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa peran keterlibatan ayah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap self esteem (p < 0,001 ; R² = 0,114). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi peran keterlibatan ayah maka tingkat self esteem mahasiswa perempuan cenderung semakin tinggi. 

This study aims to examine the influence of father involvement on self-esteem among female students of the Faculty of Psychology, University X. The research employed a quantitative causal method with a cross-sectional design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling and consisted of 163 active female undergraduate students from the Faculty of Psychology, University X, who had a living biological father. Data were collected online using the Father Involvement Scale and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, both of which had been tested for item discrimination and reliability. The results of a simple linear regression analysis indicated that father involvement significantly influenced self-esteem (p < 0,001; R² = 0.114). This indicates that the greater the involvement of fathers, the higher the self esteem of female students tends to be.
