Influences of Contextual Teaching and Learning
Cognitive Style toward Learning
Outcomes on Integrated S ocial S cience Subject at VIII Grade Students of
Senior High School No. 6 Masbagik and Senior High School No. 5 Sikur, East
Lombok.
Keywords:
Contextual Teaching And Learning and Style Cognitive, Learning Outcome.
The purpose of the
study was to test: (1) The learning outcome
deferences between students who are taught using CTL and conventional
learning strategies; (2) The learning outcome deferences between students
having F1 cognitive style, and FD
cognitive style; (3) The Influence between learning strategies and
cognitive styles toward learning outcome integrated sosial science Subject at
VIII grade students of Senior High School No. 6 Masbagik and Senior High School
No. 5 Sikur , East Lombok.
The research was
experimental study. The research design used was treatment by 2x2 planning. The
subjcets of the researach were students at VIII grade students of Senior High
School No. 6 Masbagik, and Senior High School No. 5 Sikur which were consiting
of 2 classes in each. From the two classes in each school, one class was chosen
as the experimental class and the other class became the control class. The
experimental class was taught using the CTL learning strategy while the control
class was taught using conventional learning strategy. The data was collected by
using test and GEFT. The test is the collection of Integrated S ocial S cience learning outcomes
information, and GEFT is used to obtain cognitive style data. The data was analysed using two ways analisys of variance (two ways anova) by 2x2. the data was calculated using SPSS 20 version for
windows.
The finding of the research shows
that: (1) there is learning outcome
deferences between students who are taught using CTL, and conventional
learning strategies;(2) there is learning
outcome deferences between students having F1 cognitive style and FD cognitive style; (3) there is Influence
between learning strategies and cognitive styles toward learning outcome.
From the data analysis, it can be conclude that: (1)
there is learning outcome deferences between students who were taught using CTL
have better score than those who were taught using conventional strategy; (2)
there is learning outcome defferences between students having F1 cognitive
style and FD cognitive style; (3) there
is influence between learning strategies and cognitive styles toward learning
outcome on Integrated S ocial S cience Subjectat VIII grade students of Senior High
School No. 6 Masbagik and Senior High School No. 5 Sikur.
