The research was motivated by the low environmental
awareness of students, learning that emphasizes cognitive aspects, and students
are more interested in playing gadgets than learning materials. The research
aims to (1) describe the validity of the Microsite 3R (Reduce, Reuse,
Recycle ) learning device based on ecopedagogy for environmental awareness
for students in elementary schools, (2) describe the practicality of the Microsite
3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ) learning device based on ecopedagogy for
environmental awareness for students in elementary schools, (3) describe the
effectiveness of the development of the Microsite 3R (Reduce, Reuse,
Recycle ) learning device based on ecopedagogy for environmental awareness
for students in elementary schools.
The research includes development studies with subjects
of grade V students of 118 Gresik State Elementary School and 140 Gresik State
Elementary School. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews,
validation, questionnaires, trials, tests. Data analysis techniques are
validity, practicality, and effectiveness analysis.
The
results of the study (1) the results of the validation of material, media, and
language experts stated that the Microsite was "very valid"
with a score of 92,5% reflecting the appropriateness of the content, visuals,
and language, (2) the results of the practicality test showed that the
responses of teachers 95,3% and students 93,1% stated that the media was very
easy to use, interesting, technically and substantively relevant, (3) the
results of the effectiveness test stated that class V of 118 Gresik State
Elementary School received an average N-Gain of 79%, while class V of 140
Gresik State Elementary School 78% where both were included in the moderate
category, this shows that the use of 3R Microsite s based on ecopedagogy
is very effective in increasing environmental awareness in both schools. Based
on the research data, it was concluded that Microsite 3R was proven to
be valid, practical, effective, and contributed to presenting contextual,
meaningful, and applicable environmental learning at the elementary school
level.
