This study describes the elements of eroticism that exist in poetic texts, through Peirce's semiotic theory with his trichotomy, by knowing the index, representation, and object as the basis for knowing the elements of eroticism that exist in poetic texts. The object being analyzed is entitled Twenty Poems of Love and One Song of Despair by Pablo Neruda, using the read-note method, which is carried out by intensively re-reading, so as to understand the entire content of the poem under study and find the problems that form the basis of the research. This research is included in qualitative research and uses an expressive approach.
