Implementation of the Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 13 of 2022 on
Tuberculosis Control in the Workplace Study at Dian Mulyo Cigarette Factory,
Sedulur Tani, Karangan Village, Trenggalek, East Java)
This study examines the implementation of Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 13
of 2022 concerning Tuberculosis (TB) Control in the Workplace, focusing on Dian
Mulyo Cigarette Factory, Sedulur Tani, Karangan Village, Trenggalek, East Java. The
objective of the research is to analyze the application of tuberculosis prevention policies in
a high-risk work environment.This empirical legal research employs a sociological
approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review.
The researcher examined one indicator of the regulation, namely the formulation of a
tuberculosis control policy.Findings reveal that the regulation's implementation remains
suboptimal.The factory management is not yet aware of the Minister of Manpower
Regulation No 13 of 2022 concerning the Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis in the
Workplace, the factory does not yet have an official policy related to TB control, there is
low awareness among both management and workers about the dangers of TB, and there
is no direct or regular supervision from the East Java Provincial Manpower and
Transmigration Office. This study recommends strengthening management capacity in
implementing the regulation, conducting regular training for workers, and active support
from local government in the form of supervision and assistance. With these
improvements, worker health protection can be better ensured, and the risk of TB
transmission in the workplace can be reduced.
