Zaman globalisasi ekonomi di Asia-Pasifik terdapat persetujuan antar negara-negara (APEC) tentang perdagangan bebas untuk barang dan jasa. Dengan demikian konsumen memiliki banyak pilihan terhadap produk dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Setiap perusahaan bersaing memberikan produk yang terbaik kepada konsumen. Dalam perusahaan ada badan penelitian dan riset guna setiap barang dan jasa yang dihasilkan bisa maksimal. Pada pabrik biji plastik bahan baku yang digunakan yaitu trash bag dan plastik minimarket, akan di proses pada sebuah mesin yang melibatkan faktor suhu dan kecepatan mesin. Ketiga faktor ini akan mempengaruhi hasil dari biji plastik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari pengaruh bahan baku, suhu, dan kecepatan mesin terhadap hasil produksi biji plastik pada PT. Djojoplast Gemilang dengan menggunakan metode Taguchi, dengan optimasi large to better didapatkan faktor yang berpengaruh paling besar adalah suhu, maka didapatkan hasil rata –rata optimasi 5.62 ± 1.893 dan signal to noise ratio 14.949 ± 2.922.

The era of economic globalization in the Asia-Pacific there is an agreement between countries (APEC) regarding free trade in goods and services. Thus consumers have many choices on domestic and foreign products. Each company competes to provide the best products to consumers. In a company there is a research and research body for each product and service produced can be maximized. At the factory of plastic resin raw material used is trash bags and plastic minimarkets, will be processed on a machine that involves factors of temperature and engine speed. These three factors will affect the yield of plastic seeds. This study aims to look for the effect of raw material, temperature, and machine speed on the production of plastic pellets at PT. Djojoplast Gemilang using the Taguchi method, with optimization the large to better most influential factor is temperature, so the average optimization results are 5.62 ± 1.893 and signal to noise ratio 14.949 ± 2.922.
