ADARA PURWA
DANCE FORM BY TRI KRISTIANI AND NININ DESINTA YUSTIKASARI IN LAMONGAN DISTRICT
Adara Purwa Dance is a new dance created by Tri
Kristiani and Ninin Desinta Yustikasari in 2022. This dance is taken from
Lamongan culture, namely the Kiprah Balun, Muji Sesanti and Bedhaya
Amangkubuming dances. Adara Purwa Dance was once submitted to the 2022
Provincial Dance Arts Festival and has received 3 (three) awards for best
presentation, best choreographer, and best music arranger. Therefore, this is
interesting to study. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept and
describe the form of Adara Purwa Dance. The theories used in this study are
dance form theory and dance structure theory. This study uses a descriptive
qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation,
interviews, and documentation. Data collection analysis is carried out through
the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data
validity using source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time
triangulation.
The results of the research and discussion show that
the concept of the Adara Purwa dance was developed with an East Javanese style
and processed with distinctive characteristics located in the panembah
and kiprah that the dancers wear glasses, gongseng, and sampur which depict a
firm, brave, never-give-up character but with feminine elements. The form of
the Adara Purwa Dance is shown through dashing movement elements but contains
feminine elements, musical accompaniment is packaged using East Javanese
gamelan, glamorous clothing is predominantly green, red and uses
sunglasses, gongseng, and sampur properties.
This conclusion is that the form of the Adara Purwa
Dance is a new dance that has distinctive characteristics taken from the Kiprah
Balun Lamongan culture the kiprah used to be a Central Javanese kiprah. So that
this Adara Purwa kiprah has been processed into an East Javanese kiprah
technique
