Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model POE (Predict – Observe – Explain) berbasis kerja laboratorium yang layak (valid, praktis,dan efektif) untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dasar materi Gerak Lurus pada peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4D dan diujicobakan dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes (pretes-postes) dan angket. Analisis data deskriftif kuantitatif-kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh: (1) Validitas perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari hasil validitas perangkat berupa silabus, RPP, LKPD, Bahan Materi Ajar, dan tes keterampilan proses sains dasar berkategori sangat valid; (2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Keterlaksanaan RPP sangat baik, (b)Aktivitas peserta didik berkategori aktif, (c) Keterbacaan LKPD dan bahan materi ajar yang memperoeh respon positif, (d) kendala-kendala selama pembelajaran dapat diatasi; (3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) tes keterampilan proses sains dasar yang meningkat, (b) Respon peserta didik sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika model POE (Predict – Observe – Explain) berbasis kerja laboratorium telah layak digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dasar peserta didik SMAN 4 Sidoarjo.

The purpose of this research is to produce appropriate teaching material with POE model based on work laboratory that is feasible (valid, practical, and effective) to facilitate basic scientific process skills in student grade X at SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo. Development of teaching material used the 4D model and implementation the design is one group pretest-posttest design. The Data collection used observation , test (pretest-posttest) and questionnaire methods. The data analysis using quantitative descriptive, qualitative descriptive. The results obtained quantitatively and qualitatively include: (1) The validity of teaching material in terms of validation of instruments from syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheet, student’s book, and basic scientific process skills tests are very valid categorized; (2) The practicality of the teaching material in terms of: (a) The implementation of the lesson plan is very good, (b) The activity of the students is active (c) The readability student work sheet and student’s book as a whole are easily understood by students, (d) the obstacles during teaching can be overcome; (3) The effectiveness of teaching material in terms of: (a) The skills of basic scientific process skills increase, and (b) student responses are very good. The conclusion that the teaching material with POE (Predict – Observe- Explain) model based on work laboratory is appropriate is used to facilitate the basic scientific process skills in students SMA N 4 Sidoarjo.
