THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CASE BASED LEARNING AND PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELS ON STUDENTS' CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS IN COMPILING INDONESIAN COMPLAINT LETTERS FOR CLASS X MPLB SMK KRIAN 2 SIDOARJO
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Case-Based Learning dan Problem-Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam menyusun surat pengaduan. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Kompetensi Keahlian Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis di SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni Quasi-Eksperimental desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan soal pre-test, studi kasus, dan post-test. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dilanjutkan uji perbandingan Paired Samples T-Test, Uji Independent Samples T-Test, dan Uji N-Gain Score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning lebih efektif dibandingkan Case-Based Learning. Pada nilai rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol lebih tinggi sebesar 72.56 dibandingkan kelas eksperimen sebesar 66.96. Diperkuat dengan skor N-Gain kelas kontrol 35.8401 sedangkan kelas eksperimen 23.046.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Case-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning learning models on critical thinking skills in drafting complaint letters. The subjects of the study are all students of class X of Office Management and Business Services Expertise Competency at SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo. The type of research used is Quasi-Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data was collected using pre-test, case study, and post-test questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis including data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing followed by the Paired Samples T-Test comparison test, the Independent Samples T-Test, and the N-Gain Score test. The results of the study show that the Problem-Based Learning learning model is more effective than Case-Based Learning. The average post-test score of the control class was higher at 72.56 than the experimental class of 66.96. It was strengthened with an N-Gain score of 35.8401 in the control class while the experimental class was 23.046.
