THE EFFECT OF EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND DIGITAL LITERACY ON THE QUALITY OF ACADEMIC SERVICES AT SURABAYA STATE UNIVERSITY

Layanan utama di Perguruan Tinggi ataupun di seluruh lembaga akademik diberikan kepada penerima layanan yaitu mahasiswa, siswa, dan sivitas akademika lainnya disebut dengan layanan akademik. Pegawai sebagai tolak ujung pelayanan sangat berperan terhadap kualitas layanan akademik. Pelayanan yang diberikan pegawai dipengaruhi berbagai faktor, diantaranya yaitu pemberian kompensasi dan literasi digital. Penelitian terkait pemberian kompensasi dan literasi digital terhadap layanan akademik banyak dilakukan. Namun terdapat hasil penelitian yang tidak konsisten, terbatasnya penelitian terkait pengaruh literasi digital terhadap pelayanan serta belum adanya penelitian terdahulu yang meneliti pengaruh kompensasi dan literasi digital terhadap pelayanan akademik. Sehinga penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi dan literasi digital pegawai terhadap kualitas pelayanan akademik di Universitas Negeri Surabaya.
Metode penelitian yang diterapkan yaitu metode kuantitatif untuk melihat pengaruh kompensasi dan literasi digital terhadap kualitas pelayanan akademik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan kuesioner, dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear. Dengan menetapkan variabel kompensasi sebagai variabel x1, variabel literasi digital sebagai variabel x2, dan kualitas pelayanan akademik sebagai variabel y. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan, baik secara individu maupun secara simultan, antara pemberian kompensasi kepada pegawai dan kemampuan literasi digital pegawai terhadap kualitas pelayanan akademik di Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum di Surabaya. Baik secara individu maupun kombinasi, kompensasi yang memadai dan kemampuan literasi digital yang baik dapat menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, inovatif, dan efisien, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan akademik. Dan literasi digital memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar.

The main services in universities or throughout academic institutions are provided to service recipients, namely students, pupils and other academics, which are called academic services. Employees as the cornerstone of service play a very important role in the quality of academic services. The services provided by employees are influenced by various factors, including compensation and digital literacy. Research related to providing compensation and digital literacy for academic services has been widely carried out. However, there are inconsistent research results, limited research regarding the influence of digital literacy on services and no previous research examining the influence of compensation and digital literacy on academic services. So this research was conducted to analyze the effect of providing compensation and employee digital literacy on the quality of academic services at State of Universitiy Surabaya.
The research method applied is a quantitative method to see the effect of compensation and digital literacy on the quality of academic services. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, and analyzed using linear regression. By setting the compensation variable as variable x1, the digital literacy variable as variable x2, and the quality of academic services as variable y. The research results show that there is a positive and significant influence, both individually and simultaneously, between providing compensation to employees and employees' digital literacy skills on the quality of academic services at Legal Entity State Universities in Surabaya. Both individually and in combination, adequate compensation and good digital literacy skills can create a conducive, innovative and efficient work environment, which ultimately improves the quality of academic services. And digital literacy has an even greater impact.
