There is no management information system to manage
computer laboratories and the number of computer laboratories owned by the
vocational high school 3 Pamekasan is small, while the study groups using
laboratories numbered nine for each department with a variety of vocational
materials, so the teacher has difficulty dividing the schedule for using the
laboratory coupled with the small number of students who have personal laptops,
causing learning to be less effective when the practice material is carried out
in the classroom.
The formulation of the problem raised in the study is
how to make laboratory management information systems and scheduling using the
greedy algorithm and to determine the performance of the laboratory against the
system created. The R&D (Reseach and Development) research method is used
until the implementation of the product revision step in the R&D model,
then ends with the reporting. Trials were conducted twice, namely "product
trials" to determine the validity of the media and "trial use"
to find out opinions or responses regarding the implemented laboratory
management information system.
The results of this study indicate that (1) Based on
the analysis of media validation assessment which refers to the results table
of media validation assessment, the percentage is 96.4%, which means that the
laboratory management information system is feasible to use. (2) Based on the
results of interviews with 5 vocational teachers about the laboratory
management information system that has been implemented it can make it easier
to plan teaching and determine the date for repairing equipment and speed up
the process of borrowing and returning equipment.
