Pengembangan Training Kit Sistem Kendali Berbasis KNX Terhadap Peningkatan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Dan Motivasi Siswa.
Development of a KNX-Based Control System Training Kit to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Skills and Motivation
Keterbatasan media pembelajaran di SMK YPM 1 Taman menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami sistem kendali Smart Building. Ini berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kepraktisan, keefektifan, dan kelayakan training kit sistem kendali KNX dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Kevalidan training kit sistem kendali berbasis KNX divalidasi oleh 1 dosen ahli dari Prodi S1 PTE Unesa dan 2 guru ahli dari SMK YPM 1 Taman dan SMA Wachid Hasyim 2 Taman. Keefektifan pembelajaran dilihat dari respon siswa, sedangkan kepraktisan dinilai dari peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi siswa yang melibatkan 15 siswa (kelas terbatas) dan 35 siswa (kelas lapangan). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket validasi, angket respon siswa, angket motivasi siswa, dan lembar penilaian berpikir kritis. Analisis data dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kevalidan, kelayakan dan keefektifan training kit sistem kendali KNX yang dikembangkan.
Hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh para ahli sebesar 4,48 skala likert yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dengan persentase 89,6% sangat layak. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa dengan menggunakan training kit sistem kendali berbasis KNX memberikan kepraktisan penggunaan pembelajaran, karena mendapatkan nilai respon dari siswa sebesar 89,28%. Keefektifan terbukti dengan peningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dari 37,71% menjadi 83,66% dan peningkatan motivasi siswa dari 39,31% menjadi 87,97%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa training kit sistem kendali KNX yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada sistem kendali di SMK YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo, dengan ini training kit dapat digunakan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran secara luas
The limited availability of learning media at SMK YPM 1 Taman has caused students to face difficulties in understanding the Smart Building control system. This issue negatively impacts students' learning motivation and critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the practicality, effectiveness, and feasibility of a KNX-based control system training kit in improving students' critical thinking skills and learning motivation.
This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the following stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validity of the KNX-based control system training kit was assessed by one expert lecturer from the Electrical Engineering Education Program at Surabaya State University and two expert teachers from SMK YPM 1 Taman and SMA Wachid Hasyim 2 Taman. The effectiveness of the training kit was evaluated based on students' responses, while practicality was assessed through the improvement of students' critical thinking skills and motivation. A total of 40 students from class XII TITL 1 participated in this study. The research instruments included validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, student motivation questionnaires, and critical thinking skills assessment sheets. The collected data were analyzed to determine the levels of validity, practicality, effectiveness, and feasibility of the developed KNX-based control system training kit.
The validation results from the experts indicated a score of 4.48 on the Likert scale, categorized as very valid, with a feasibility percentage of 89.6%. The findings demonstrate that the KNX-based control system training kit offers practicality in learning, as evidenced by a student response score of 88.95%. Effectiveness was also proven by an increase in critical thinking skills from 39.9% to 84.5%, and in learning motivation from 38.97% to 88.35%. The results of this study confirm that the developed KNX-based control system training kit is feasible and effective as a learning medium for control systems at SMK YPM 1 Taman, Sidoarjo. Therefore, the training kit can be utilized by teachers to support broader learning applications.
