RELASI MAKNA PADA NOVEL BULAN KARYA TERE LIYE DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PENGAJARAN SASTRA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk relasi makna pada novel “Bulan"” karya Tere Liye yang ditelaah secara mendalam menggunakan teori John Lyons. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data simak bebas libat cakap. Sumber data penelitian adalah novel “Bulan” karya Tere Liye edisi cetak terbaru tahun 2023. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model Miles dan Huberman yang menekankan tiga langkah, yakni kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Pada hasil penelitian ini ditemukan sembilan sampel data homonim, sembilan sampel data polisemi, dan sepuluh sampel data redundansi. Dari ketiga jenis relasi makna yang telah diteliti secara mendalam, bentuk relasi makna dengan jenis redundansi lebih mendominasi. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan jika siswa dilatih untuk menelaah bentuk relasi makna secara mendalam, pesan dalam sebuah tulisan akan lebih mudah tersampaikan karena siswa selaku pembaca mampu memahami konteks dari suatu bentuk relasi makna. Selain itu, terdapat saran metode pembelajaran yang efektif untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran apresiasi sastra.

This study aims to describe the forms of semantic relations in the novel “Bulan” by Tere Liye, which are examined in depth using John Lyons' theory as the main guideline. This research employs a qualitative approach with the technique of free engagement observation for data collection. The source of the research data is the latest print edition of the novel “Bulan” by Tere Liye, published in 2023. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, which emphasizes three steps: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this study found nine data samples of homonyms, nine data samples of polysemy, and ten data samples of redundancy. Among the three types of semantic relations studied in depth, the form of semantic relation with redundancy is more dominant. From this research, it can be concluded that if students are trained to examine the forms of semantic relations in depth, the message in a piece of writing will be more easily conveyed because the students, as readers, are able to understand the context of a form of semantic relation. Additionally, it is recommended that educators deepen their reading of both fiction and non-fiction, as well as analyze it beforehand as a form of practice before applying it to learning.
