THE LOVE TRIANGLE IN THE DILAN 1991 MOVIE DIRECTED BY PIDI BAIQ AND FAJAR BUSTOMI

Penelitian ini berawal dari perilaku tokoh utama dalam film yang sedang menjalani hubungan percintaan. Hubungan percintaan tokoh dalam film menarik untuk digali lebih dalam, sebab komponen cinta dan perilaku tokoh yang ada pada hubungan tersebut sangat kompleks. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penguraian bentuk keintiman, hasrat, komitmen, dan jenis cinta tokoh Dilan dan Milea.Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan segitiga cinta yang meliputi bentuk keintiman, hasrat, komitmen dan konsep jenis cinta hubungan Dilan dan Milea dalam film Dilan 1991.  Teori yang digunakan ialah teori segitiga cinta Robert J. Sternberg yang berasumsi bahwa hubungan percintaan terdiri dari kombinasi keintiman, hasrat, komitmen, dan jenis cinta.   Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah Film Dilan 1991. Data penelitian berupa unit-unit kalimat dalam dialog dan monolog tokoh Dilan dan Milea yang sesuai dengan rumusan dan tujuan penelitian. Data dialog dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak catat dan data gambar diperoleh dengan teknik dokumentasi yakni tangkapan layar pada adegan tertentu, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan Dilan dan Milea memiliki ketiga komponen teori sepenuhnya baik dari aspek dalam komponen keintiman, komponen hasrat, dan komponen komitmen. Berdasar terpenuhinya ketiga komponen tersebut, maka hubungan percintaan Dilan dan Milea tergolong pada cinta sejati. 

This research begins with the behavior of the main characters in the film who is in a romantic relationship. The romantic relationship of the characters in the film is interesting to explore more deeply, because the components of love and the behavior of the characters in the relationship are very complex. This study focuses on describing the forms of intimacy, desire, commitment, and types of love for the characters Dilan and Milea.

The purpose of this research is to describe the love triangle which includes the form of intimacy, desire, commitment and the concept of the type of love in Dilan and Milea's relationship in the Dilan 1991 film. The theory used is the love triangle theory of Robert J. Sternberg which assumes that a romantic relationship consists of a combination of intimacy, desire, commitment, and the kind of love.

This research is a qualitative descriptive type and uses a qualitative method with a literary psychology approach. The data source for this research is the Dilan 1991. The research data are in the form of sentence units in the dialogues and monologues of the Dilan and Milea characters that are in accordance with the formulation and research objectives. Dialogue data was collected using the note-taking technique and image data was obtained using the documentation technique, namely screenshots of certain scenes, while the data analysis technique used content analysis techniques.

The results showed that the relationship between Dilan and Milea had all three theoretical components, both in terms of the intimacy component, the desire component, and the commitment component. Based on the fulfillment of these three components, Dilan and Milea's romantic relationship is classified as true love.
