Pengembangan Bahan Ajar IPA Berbasis Teks Multimodal untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Sains Siswa SD/MI
Development of Science Teaching Material based on Multimodal Text to Improve Elementary Students' Scientific Literacy
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa Bahan Ajar IPA berbasis Teks Multimodal yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, design, develop, and disseminate), yang terbatas hanya sampai pada tahap ketiga (develop). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode validasi, observasi, tes dan angket kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif kuantitatif. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design uji coba ini dilakukan pada 34 siswa kelas IV MI Masjid Al Akbar Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Bahan Ajar yang dikembangkan berkategori sangat valid; 2) Keterlaksanaan RPP berlangsung sangat baik dan lancar; dan 3) peningkatan literasi sains siswa meningkat dan siswa memberikan respon yang sangat positif terhadap pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar IPA berbasis teks multimodal yang telah dikembangkan layak (valid, praktis dan efektif) serta dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa.
This study aimed to develop a science teaching material based on multimodal text that are valid, practice and effective to improve elementary students' scientific literacy. This research is a Research and Development study with a 4-D (Define, design, develop, and disseminate), which is limited to the third stage (develop). Data were collected using validation sheet, observation sheet, scientific literacy test and response questionnaires then analyzed with descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The design used was the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted by 34 students of Al Akbar Mosque Islamic Elementary School in Surabaya. The results indicated that: 1) the science teaching materials developed were categorized as very valid; 2) Implementation of the RPP was very well and smoothly; and 3) the increase in students' scientific literacy and the students gave a very positive response to the learning carried out. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the science teaching materials based on multimodal text that have been developed are feasible (valid, practice and effective) and can improve students' scientific literacy.
