This research
is based on the need for innovative learning media that align with
technological advancements to improve the quality of learning in Vocational
High Schools (SMK), particularly in the Hand Care and Nail Coloring (Manicure)
subject. The lack of interactive media that supports students' learning styles
is the main factor driving the development of website-based learning media
using Google Sites.
This study
aims to develop interactive learning media based on Google Sites for the Hand
Care and Nail Coloring subject at SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan. The specific
objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the feasibility of the
learning media, 2) To examine the improvement in students' learning outcomes in
the Hand Care and Nail Coloring subject, and 3) To analyze students' responses
to the learning media.
This study
employs a pre-experimental research design with a quantitative approach using
the Research & Development (R&D) method based on the ASSURE model. The
research subjects consisted of 26 twelfth-grade TKKR students who participated
in the Hand Care and Nail Coloring lessons.
Data
collection for media feasibility was conducted through expert validation, as
well as cognitive (pretest and posttest) and psychomotor tests, along with
student response questionnaires. The results of the media feasibility
validation showed an average score of 4.41 (88%), categorized as "Highly
Feasible." Students' cognitive learning outcomes showed an average pretest
score of 61.35, while the average posttest score was 86.35. Statistical
analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test resulted in a Z-score of -4.470
with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, indicating a significance level
of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, H0, which states that there is no significant
difference between pretest and posttest results, is rejected, while H1 is
accepted. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results demonstrate a significant
difference between pretest and posttest scores.
Students'
responses to the learning media were highly positive, with an average score of
4.56 (91%), categorized as "Very Good," indicating that the media is
engaging, easy to use, and effective in supporting learning. Thus, the
development of interactive learning media using Google Sites successfully
improves the quality of learning in the Hand Care and Nail Coloring subject.
