Pengembangan Media Playmate Sensory untuk Menstimulasi Kemampuan Membilang dan Motorik Kasar Anak Usia Dini
Development of Playmate Sensory Media to Stimulate Early Childhood Counting Ability and Gross Motor Skills
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Playmate Sensory yang layak, efektif, dan praktis dalam menstimulasi kemampuan membilang dan motorik kasar anak usia dini. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada masih terbatasnya media pembelajaran multisensori yang mampu mengintegrasikan stimulasi kognitif dan motorik secara bersamaan sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak usia 5–6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah anak usia 5–6 tahun di lembaga PAUD, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi ahli, tes pretest dan posttest kemampuan membilang dan motorik kasar, observasi, serta angket respon guru. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis deskriptif persentase dan uji statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Playmate Sensory dinyatakan layak berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media, efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membilang dan motorik kasar anak yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan hasil posttest dibandingkan pretest, serta praktis digunakan berdasarkan respon positif guru selama proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, media Playmate Sensory dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran multisensori yang mendukung perkembangan kognitif dan motorik kasar anak usia dini secara optimal.
This study aimed to develop a Playmate Sensory learning media that is valid, effective, and practical in stimulating early childhood numeracy and gross motor skills. The research was motivated by the limited availability of multisensory learning media that integrate cognitive and motor stimulation in accordance with the developmental characteristics of children aged 5–6 years. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were early childhood learners aged 5–6 years in a preschool setting. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, pretest and posttest assessments of numeracy and gross motor skills, observations, and teacher response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques included descriptive percentage analysis and inferential statistical testing. The results indicated that the Playmate Sensory media was valid based on expert evaluations, effective in improving children’s numeracy and gross motor skills as evidenced by higher posttest scores compared to pretest scores, and practical to use based on positive teacher responses during the learning process. Therefore, the Playmate Sensory media can be utilized as an alternative multisensory learning media to optimally support early childhood cognitive and gross motor development.
