 SIKLUS CAPUNG PADA KARYA SENI LOGAM

Capung merupakan serangga yang menarik dan istimewa, biasanya berukuran antara 2 cm sampai 7 cm. Capung menarik karena warnanya, sedangkan keistemewaannya adalah pada saat metamorphosis yang  tidak dimiliki oleh hewan lainnya. yaitu pada saat metamorfosis atau siklus hidupnya tidak memiliki tahap kepompong (pupa), karena menarik dan keistimewaan itulah, perupa tertarik membuat karya yang menceritakan tentang siklus capung dalam karya seni logam.  Karya skripsi ini berjudul “Siklus Capung pada  Karya Seni Logam”.

Metode penciptaan pada penelitian ini, perupa menggunakan teori kratifitas dari Graham Wallas , yaitu tahapan persiapan (prepation), tahapan pengeraman (incubation), tahapan munculnya ilham (illumination), tahap pengujian (verivication). Tahapan yang digunakan dalam perwujudan karya antara lain: pematangan konsep, pembuatan desain, validasi desain mengkonsultasikan dengan Dosen Pembimbing, proses perwujudan karya, finishing karya, pada proses finishing menggunakan Teknik pewarnaan reaksi kimia Sn, autosol, Citric Acid. Teknik yang digunakan teknik ukir wudulan.

 Perupa membuat enam belas desain. Desain yang dipilih hanya empat desain dari keseluruhan desain yang dibuat. Karya yang diciptakan perupa merupakan karya dua dimensi. Masing – masing karya berjudul sesuai dengan cerita siklus capung. Karya pertama berjudul capung kawin, karya kedua berjudul bertelur, karya ketiga  nimfa dan yang terakhir capung dewasa.

Dragonfly is an interesting and special insect, usually measuring between 2 cm to 7 cm. Dragonfly is interesting because of their color,  while the specialty of a dragonfly is during them metamorphosis process that other animals do not have, namely at the time of metamorphosis or life cycle does not have a stage of the cocoon (pupa), because it is interesting and privileged that, artists are interested in making works that tell about the dragonfly cycle in metal artwork.  This thesis is titled "Dragonfly Cycle on Metal Artwork".

In the method of creation in this study, the artist used the theory of gratifies from Graham Wallas, namely the preparation stage, incubation stage, the stage of illumination, the testing stage verification. Stages used in the realization of the work include: maturation of concepts, design making, validation of design consult with lecturers, the process of an embodiment of works, finishing works, in the finishing process using chemical reaction coloring techniques Sn, autosol, Citric Acid. Techniques used wudulan carving techniques.

The artist made sixteen designs. The selected design is only four designs of the overall design created. The work created by the artist is two-dimensional. Each work is titled according to the story of the dragonfly cycle. The first work is titled mating dragonfly, the second work is titled laying eggs, the work of the three nymphs, and the last adult dragonfly.
