Literary teaching requires student to
master four aspects of Language, one of
them is writing. Basically, writing ability of every student is not same, for
example ini writing poetry. Looked from the learning situation of writing
poetry in school, poetry learning acitivity ia not an easy thing to teach to
student. Based on the writing ability test that have been done and the result
is still below average .
This study aimed to describe
implementation ARIAS method, the effectiveness of ARIAS learning method,
student responden on writing poetry learning through ARIAS learning method in
writing poetry learning student of VIII grade junior high school 1 Pagu,
Kediri.
This
kind of research is experimental research with quantitative descriptive method.
This research uses a true eksperimental
design . The research was conducted through two stages, namely pretes and
postes. Pretes conducted before the student get treatment and post test
conducted after student get treatment.
The
results of research shows writing poetry ability student of VIII grade junior
high school 1 Pagu Kediri before get the treatment implementation ARIAS method
ia still low. Itu ia evident from the result of the pretes of control class and
the experimental class that have not meet the minimum complitation critiria/KKM
which is 75. The mean score of the experimental class student is 57,8 and the average score of the control
class student is 57,6.
The post test results to find out the poetry writing
ability of student in VIII grade, junior high school 1 Pagu Kediri after
setting treatment implementation of ARIAS method hasil increased. Judging from
the experimental class post test scores
83,7 dan 29 student achieved grades above the KKM. The mean postes
scores of the control class were 70,9 and 19 student achieved grades above the
KKM. The results of t-test calculation
are obtained t0
= 2,55 and db = 60. Price t is tested
using a score test on t at t table, which is known as price t at t table =
1,67, then t count = 2,55 > 1,67. According to this, it can
be seen that the t count is greater than t table so it can be concluded that
there ia a significant, different in the ability to write poetry between the
experimental classes using the ARIAS method and control class without using
ARIAS method. Thus, Ho is resected and
Ha accepted. This is also the evident from the questionnaire sheet
filled out by student .
The results of the student response questionnaire indicate the majority choose
strongly agree and agree.
