MYSTICISM OF THE POETRY OF JOHANN WOLFGANG VON GOETHE IN WEST-ӦSTLICHER DIVAN

West-Ӧstlicher Divan (Diwan Timur-Barat) merupakan kumpulan puisi liris karya Johann Wolfgang von Goethe berisikan cinta dan kekagumannya pada Islam ditulis pada periode Klasik dalam rentang waktu 1814 sampai 1819. West-Ӧstlicher Divan merupakan salah satu sastra yang beraliran sufi ditulis dalam gaya Persia. Istilah sufi lebih menunjuk pada suatu literatur yang memuat ekspresi, ajaran dan pemikiran mistis, khususnya dalam bentuk puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang memfokuskan perhatiannya pada pendekatan interpretatif dan naturalistik terhadap objek kajian yang mengkaji dengan mendeskripsikan tiga puisi karya Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, antara lain: (1) Vier Gnaden, (2) Bedenklich dan (3) Erschaffen und Beleben., untuk menganalisis puisi dilandasi argumentasi berdasarkan konsep Dimensi Mistisisme Islam Annemarie Schimmel (1975) dengan menjabarkan syariat, tarekat, hakikat, tawakal, sabar, mahabba-ma’rifa dan beberapa kutipan ayat al-Qur’an.

Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran dilandasi multi-tafsir untuk membuka tabir tentang isi kandungan nilai-nilai puisi West-Ӧstlicher Divan. Sehingga hasil kesimpulan penelitian memberikan sebuah gambaran tentang karya-karya puisi Johann Wolfgang von Goethe yang memiliki kandungan multi tafsir atau makna ganda. Salah satu tentang kandungan makna warna hijau.

West-Ӧstlicher Divan is a collection of lyrical poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe containing love and admiration for Islam written in The classical period in the period of 1814 to 1819. West-Ӧstlicher Divan is one of the Sufi literature written in the Persian style. The term Sufi refers more to literature that contains mystical expressions, teachings, and thoughts, especially in the form of poetry. This study uses a qualitative method that focuses its attention on interpretive and naturalistic approaches to the object of study that studies by describing three poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, including: (1) Vier Gnaden, (2) Bedenklich and (3) Erschaffen und Beleben. To analyze poetry based on argumentation based on the concept of Mystical Dimensions of Islam Annemarie Schimmel (1975) by describing shari’a, tariqa, haqiqa, tawakkul, sabr, mahabba-ma'rifa and a few quotations from the al-Qur’an.

This study provides an overview based on multiple interpretations to uncover the contents of the West-Ӧstlicher Divan poetry values. So the results of the research conclusions provide a description of the works of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's poetry that have multiple interpretations or multiple meanings. One of the contents of the meaning of the color green, in the verses of the Qur'an, explained that the color green as a holy place (heaven) (Q.S. Ar-Rahman).
