RANCANG BANGUN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF UNTUK MEMVISUALISASIKAN SISTEM PROTEKSI PETIR PADA ELEMEN INSTALASI TENAGA LISTRIK
DESIGN OF INTERACTIVE LEARNING MEDIA TO VISUALIZING LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEMS IN ELECTRICAL POWER INSTALLATION ELEMENTS
Sekolah Menengah Kejuruanmemiliki tanggung jawab untuk mempersiapkan siswa menjadi tenaga kerja terampil sesuai bidang. Pembelajaran sistem proteksi petir mengacu pada Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran yang menuntut siswa untuk mampu merencanakan dan memasang instalasi penyalur petir.Penelitian ini berfokus pada kajianyangmencakup tiga aspek: (1) kevalidan media, ditinjau dari penilaian ahli terhadap desain dan kelengkapan materi; (2) kepraktisan media, berdasarkan tanggapan siswamengenai kemudahan penggunaan dan kejelasan media; serta (3) keefektifan media, diukur dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkanmetode Research and Development(R&D) denganmodelBorg & Gall. Prosedur pengembangan mencakupstudi pendahuluan, desain media, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, dan revisi. Hasil uji validitas materi mendapat hasil yakni81,57%, sedangkan uji validitas media memperoleh persentase sebesar 78,89%, dengan rata-rata kesemuanya ialah80,23%. Nilai itu tergolongvalid, yang menunjukkan yaknimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi standar kelayakan isi dan desain media. Selanjutnya, uji kepraktisan dilakukan untuk menilai kemudahan penggunaan media tersebut berdasarkan tanggapan siswa, serta didapathasil sebesar 82,96% yang tergolongsangat praktis. Guna mengukur keefektifan media, digunakan uji N-Gainyang menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,516. Nilai ini berada pada rentang 0,3 ≤ N ≤ 0,7, yang menerangkan ada kenaikanhasil belajar siswapada kategorisedang. Terakhir, uji Paired Sample T-Testditerapkan gunamembandingkan perbedaan antara nilai pretestsertaposttest. Hasil pengujian menerangkannilai Sig.0,000, menunjukkan ada perbedaansignifikan antara kedua nilai tersebut. Dengan demikian, bisa ditarik kesimpulan yaknimedia pembelajaran interaktif sistem proteksi petir yang diterapkan bagusditerapkan dalam proses belajar.Kata Kunci: media pembelajaraninteraktif,sistem proteksi petir,kepraktisan, kevalidan, keefektivan
Vocational High Schools have the responsibility to prepare students to become skilled workers in their respective fields. The learning of the lightning protection system refers to the Learning Objective Flow (Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran), which requires students to be able to plan and install a lightning protection system. This study focuses on three main aspects: (1) media validity, assessed by experts based on design and material completeness; (2) media practicality, based on students’ responses regarding ease of use and clarity; and (3) media effectiveness, measured through the improvement of student learning outcomes. The research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg & Gall model. The development procedure includes a preliminary study, media design, expert validation, limited trials, and revisions. The results of the material validity test reached 81.57%, while the media validity test obtained a percentage of 78.89%, with an overall average of 80.23%. These results fall into the "valid" category, indicating that the developed learning media meets the content and design feasibility standards. Furthermore, a practicality test was conducted to evaluate the ease of media use based on students’ responses, resulting in a score of 82.96%, which is categorized as highly practical. To measure the effectiveness of the media, the N-Gain test was used, showing a score of 0.516. This value falls within the range of 0.3 ≤ N ≤ 0.7, indicating a moderate improvement in student learning outcomes. Finally, a Paired Sample T-Test was conducted to compare the differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results showed a Sig. value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between the two scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive learning media on the lightning protection system is effective and suitable for use in the learning process.Keywords:interactive learning media, lightning protection system, validity, practicality, effectiveness
