Problematika Minat Belajar Pada Anak di Pesisir Pantai Kenjeran Kelurahan Sukolilo Baru Surabaya
Problems of Learning Interest in Children on the Coast of Kenjeran Beach Sukolilo Baru Subdistrict Surabaya
Minat belajar pada anak di pesisir pantai Kenjeran ini masih tergolong rendah. Minat belajar yang rendah dapat dikenali melalui tingkah laku seperti tidak sungguh-sungguh dalam belajar, cepat bosan, berusaha menghindar dari kegiatan belajar dan malas-malasan dalam belajar. Minat belajar anak sangat penting agar anak tetap bersemangat untuk mengenyam pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk problematika minat belajar pada anak di pesisir pantai Kenjeran (2) faktor-faktor penyebab adanya problematika minat belajar pada anak di pesisir pantai Kenjeran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui proses observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data oleh Miles Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk problematika minat belajar pada anak di pesisir pantai Kenjeran yakni 1) perasaan tidak senang terhadap mata pelajaran tertentu 2) ketertarikan anak pesisir untuk belajar masih kurang 3) pemahaman akan materi pelajaran yang tidak disukai masih kurang. Problematika terjadi karena adanya faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal berasal dari anak belum memiliki kesadaran kebutuhan belajar yang masih kurang karena kurang motivasi dan semangat yang tinggi yang belum ditanamkan dalam diri anak tersebut. Sedangkan faktor eksternal berasal dari lingkungan orang tua dan lingkungan pertemanan. Faktor yang berasal dari lingkungan orang tua ini terjadi karena kurangnya dukungan dan perhatian orang tua, keterbatasan sosial ekonomi orang tua sehingga anak melibatkan diri dalam pekerjaan orang tua, serta tingkat pendidikan orang tua yang rendah.
The interest in learning in children on the Kenjeran coast is still relatively low. Low interest in learning can be recognized through behavior such as not being serious about learning, getting bored quickly, trying to avoid learning activities and being lazy in learning. Childrens interest in learning is very important so that children remain enthusiastic about getting an education. The purpose of this study was to describe (1) the form of problematic learning interest in children on the Kenjeran coast (2) the factors that cause the problem of learning interest in children on the Kenjeran coast. This study used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using data analysis techniques by Miles Huberman which included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the form of problematic learning interest in children on the Kenjeran coast were 1) feelings of dislike for certain subjects 2) coastal childrens interest in learning was still lacking 3) understanding of disliked subject matter was still lacking. Problems occur due to internal and external factors. Internal factors come from children who do not yet have an awareness of the need to learn which is still lacking because of a lack of motivation and high enthusiasm that has not been instilled in the child. While external factors come from the parental environment and friendship environment. Factors originating from the parental environment occur due to a lack of parental support and attention, the socio-economic limitations of parents so that children involve themselves in their parents work, and the low level of parental education.
